Price estimate
We do not have a price for the HSG TX3 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The HSG TX3 is a heavy-duty tube laser that HSG pitches at open profiles as much as at tube. Round tube runs from Φ40 to Φ360 mm (1.6-14.2 in) and square tube from 40 × 40 to 360 × 360 mm, and the brochure adds separate ranges for angle steel, channel steel and I-beam or H-beam: 40-350 mm side length (1.6-13.8 in), with a diagonal under 495 mm (19.5 in) for channels and beams. A single piece can weigh 1,600 kg (3,527 lb). Laser power is 6,000-20,000 W.
That list is what separates a profile machine from a tube machine in practice. Beams and channels do not rotate about a round centre, so the diagonal limit, not the side length, decides whether a section clears the chucks. A fabricator of building steel should check the largest beam against the 495 mm figure first.
The chucks clamp anything from 40-360mm without retooling, according to HSG, and are sealed against smoke and slag. Chuck speed is 60 rpm, with 80 m/min maximum linkage speed and 0.8 G. Those are sensible numbers for pieces of this weight, though the TX3 PRO is listed at 100 m/min and 1.0 G.
Servo follow-up supports carry the tube during the cut and a follow-up supporting plate takes it at unloading; HSG says the arrangement handles complete loading and unloading of 12m-long tubes. Bevel cutting within ±45° needs the optional 3D cutting head, and the twin chuck is an option too.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Published ranges for angle steel, channel steel and I-beam or H-beam, 40-350 mm side length (1.6-13.8 in), as well as tube
- Round tube from Φ40 to Φ360 mm (1.6-14.2 in) clamped without retooling
- Single piece weight of 1,600 kg (3,527 lb)
- Loading and unloading of 12m-long tubes with servo follow-up support and a follow-up supporting plate
- Laser power from 6,000 to 20,000 W for heavy wall and flange thickness
Limitations
- Channels and beams must have a diagonal under 495 mm (19.5 in)
- 80 m/min and 0.8 G, below the 100 m/min and 1.0 G of the TX3 PRO
- Bevel cutting and the 3D cutting head are optional, and so is the twin chuck
- Nothing smaller than Φ40 mm (1.6 in) round or 40 × 40 mm square can be clamped

Frequently Asked Questions
01
HSG's brochure lists equal and unequal angle steel with a 40-350 mm side length, and channel steel and I-beam or H-beam with a 40-350 mm side length and a diagonal under 495 mm (19.5 in). Round tube is Φ40-Φ360 mm and square tube 40 × 40 to 360 × 360 mm.
02
The maximum loading capacity for a single piece is 1,600 kg (3,527 lb). HSG states that the servo follow-up support and the follow-up supporting plate support complete loading and unloading of 12m-long tubes. The parameter table itself has no length row.
03
Speed, in the table. The TX3 is listed at 80 m/min maximum linkage speed and 0.8 G, the TX3 PRO at 100 m/min and 1.0 G. Tube sizes and the 1,600 kg (3,527 lb) capacity are the same, and bevel cutting and the twin chuck are optional on both.
04
No. Bevel cutting is marked optional, and the 3D cutting head is listed as optional as well. With it, HSG describes cutting within a ±45° bevel range for joint preparation. HSG also notes that all configuration functions are provided according to customer demand.
