Overview
With a cutting range of 4,000 x 2,000 mm (157.5 x 78.7 in), the Yawei HLF-2040 is the second size in the HLF classic flagship series and the larger of the two that can still be ordered with a 3 kW source. Power options are 3, 6, 12 or 20 kW.
It carries 1,800 kg (3,968 lb) on the worktable, against 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) for the HLF-1530. In practice that means the larger sheet can also be a thicker one. The Z stroke remains 300 mm (11.8 in), and the X and Y strokes are 4,040 mm (159.1 in) and 2,020 mm (79.5 in).
How does it sit against the HLX-2040? The HLX-2040 lists a slightly larger range, 4,065 x 2,035 mm (160.0 x 80.1 in), with 6, 12 or 20 kW. Trajectory speed is 200 m/min on both, and so are the accuracy figures, ±0.03 mm (±0.0012 in) and ±0.02 mm (±0.0008 in). What the HLF adds is the 3 kW choice.
The installed layout is 11,500 x 5,500 x 2,200 mm (452.8 x 216.5 x 86.6 in). Yawei's text for the series talks about pierce quality on medium-thick sheet and about round-the-clock status monitoring from the operating interface. As elsewhere on the site, there is no cutting chart, so the thickness each power level handles is a matter for the quotation.
