Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD PPED 260/40 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
For long plate parts that need room above the die, the LVD PPED 260/40 offers 2,600 kN on a 4,000 mm (157.5 in) working length with 670 mm (26.4 in) of open height and a 300 mm (11.8 in) stroke.
It is the lower-force of the two tall four-metre PPED machines. The PPED 320/40 has 3,200 kN in the same frame dimensions, but it is slower at every point of the cycle: 75 mm/s approach and 8 mm/s working speed, against 90 mm/s and 10 mm/s here. Return is 80 mm/s. Both use a 22 kW motor and a 400 L tank, so the smaller machine simply moves its ram faster with the same power.
Between the uprights there are 3,150 mm (124.0 in), and the gap is 300 mm. The table is 250 mm (9.8 in) wide and the working height 1,000 mm (39.4 in).
Against the next size down the gain is mostly vertical. The PPED 200/40 stops at 500 mm of daylight and a 200 mm stroke. Tall gooseneck punches, deep U-channels and parts that must be turned inside the opening all want the larger figures.
A four-metre bed at this force bends visibly under load. LVD's CNC crowning, standard on the PPED-5 and PPED-7, is there to correct that, and a 4-axis backgauge with Z1 and Z2 lets the two fingers be placed along the bed for each bend.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 670 mm (26.4 in) open height over a 4,000 mm (157.5 in) bed
- Quicker than the PPED 320/40: 90 mm/s approach and 10 mm/s working speed
- 250 mm (9.8 in) table width
- 300 mm (11.8 in) gap in the side frames
- Rigid welded one-piece frame
Limitations
- 3,150 mm (124.0 in) between the uprights
- Working height of 1,000 mm (39.4 in)
- 80 mm/s return over a 300 mm stroke
- Front supports for long blanks are optional

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Frame, stroke, opening, table, motor and tank are the same. The PPED 320/40 has 3,200 kN but lists 75 mm/s approach, 8 mm/s working and 75 mm/s return. This model has 2,600 kN with 90, 10 and 80 mm/s. Buy force only if the parts need it.
02
670 mm (26.4 in) between table and ram, with a 300 mm (11.8 in) stroke. The table is 250 mm (9.8 in) wide and the working height is 1,000 mm (39.4 in).
03
With the 4-axis backgauge it does: X, R, Z1 and Z2 are programmable. The 2-axis version has X and R only. LVD links the choice to the PPED-4, PPED-5 and PPED-7 versions.
04
LVD calls the PPED Industry 4.0 compatible and lists the CADMAN suite with it, including CADMAN-JOB for real-time data collection, job tracking and ERP connection.
