Overview

The Dener DDS40130-570-DL is the tall-daylight version of Dener's 40 ton ball screw press brake. The figure that names it is the 570 mm (22.4 in) of daylight, against 375 mm on the DDS-4013.

Why does that matter on a small electric brake? Tooling height. Special punches, hemming tools, and parts that already carry tall flanges all use up the opening. With 570 mm the machine accepts tool and part combinations that the regular model cannot close on.

Note what did not change. The maximum stroke is still 150 mm, so the extra daylight is space, not travel. Capacity is 40 ton over 1,300 mm (51.2 in). Motor power is 2x3.8 kW. Speeds are 120 mm/sec approach and return, with 20 mm/sec in the bend.

The frame is different from the standard machine in its outline. It is 1,555 mm long, 1,890 mm wide and 2,474 mm high, and at 2,950 kg (6,504 lb) it is lighter than the DDS-4013.

Standard equipment follows the series: ESA S 640 control, Y1, Y2, X and R axes, DSP front laser safety and European-style sectional tool holders.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 570 mm daylight on a 40 ton electric brake
  • 40 ton over 1,300 mm from 2x3.8 kW
  • 20 mm/sec bending speed, as on all DDS models
  • 2,950 kg (6,504 lb), lighter than the standard 40 ton model

Limitations

  • Maximum stroke remains 150 mm
  • At 2,474 mm it is taller than the other DDS models
  • Bending length of 1,300 mm

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What does 570 mean in DDS40130-570-DL?

The table lists a daylight of 570 mm (22.4 in) for this model. The DDS-4013, with the same 40 ton and 1,300 mm, has 375 mm.

02 Does the larger daylight give more stroke?

No. Maximum stroke is 150 mm, as on every DDS model. The added opening gives room for taller tools and parts but the ram travels no further.

03 What are the dimensions and weight?

Overall length 1,555 mm, width 1,890 mm and height 2,474 mm. Weight is 2,950 kg (6,504 lb), compared with 3,400 kg for the DDS-4013.

04 What speeds and power does it have?

Approach and return are 120 mm/sec and bending speed is 20 mm/sec. Motor power is listed as 2x3.8 kW on a 380 V three-phase supply.
