LVD PPED 80/25 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the LVD PPED 80/25 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from LVD or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The LVD PPED 80/25 bends 2,500 mm (98.4 in) with 800 kN. It is the size that takes a standard 2,500 mm sheet across the bed, which is why it turns up in general fabrication shops that cut from that stock.

Full-length parts need a look at the frame first. The uprights are 2,050 mm (80.7 in) apart and the gap is 200 mm (7.9 in). Anything longer than the space between the uprights is limited to flanges that fit that gap.

Beside the PPED 50/20, this model trades a little approach speed for force: 130 mm/s on the way down, 10 mm/s while bending and 100 mm/s on the return, with a 7.5 kW motor and a 200 L tank. The PPED 50/20 approaches at 160 mm/s but has 500 kN. Table width, at 140 mm (5.5 in), and working height, at 930 mm (36.6 in), are shared by the two small sizes; from the PPED 135/30 upward the table is 180 mm and the working height 970 mm.

Like the 50 ton model, the 80 ton size is excluded from LVD's statement that CNC crowning is standard on PPED-5 and PPED-7 machines. At 2,500 mm deflection begins to show on long bends in thicker sheet, so this point matters more here than on the two-metre machine. The frame is a welded one-piece construction, and linear encoders measure the ram position.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 2,500 mm (98.4 in) working length for standard sheet widths
  • 800 kN with a 7.5 kW motor
  • 10 mm/s working speed and 100 mm/s return
  • 200 mm (7.9 in) stroke under 500 mm (19.7 in) of open height
  • High-precision linear encoders for ram positioning

Limitations

  • CNC crowning is not standard on the 80 ton size
  • 2,050 mm (80.7 in) between uprights, less than the working length
  • 200 mm (7.9 in) gap, where the PPED 135/30 has 250 mm
  • Table is 140 mm (5.5 in) wide

Best For

General sheet metal work from 2,500 mm stock Cabinets, ducting and light enclosures Job shops needing one simple machine for most parts Short and medium runs programmed at the control

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How does the PPED 80/25 compare with the PPED 135/30?

The PPED 135/30 has 1,350 kN over 3,050 mm, a 250 mm gap, a 180 mm table and a 15 kW motor, and it approaches at 90 mm/s. The 80/25 column lists 800 kN over 2,500 mm, a 200 mm gap, a 140 mm table, 7.5 kW and 130 mm/s.

02 Is crowning included?

Not as standard. LVD states that CNC crowning is standard on PPED-5 and PPED-7 models but excludes the 50 and 80 ton models from that statement. Long bends in thicker material are where its absence would be noticed.

03 What control does the machine use?

LVD's Touch-B touch screen control, which the maker describes as graphical and icon-driven, with synchronised positioning of all available axes. Offline programming is available through the CADMAN-B bend software.

04 What are the ram speeds?

Approach 130 mm/s, working speed 10 mm/s and return 100 mm/s. LVD notes that the machine is fitted with a safety system as standard in CE countries and that the working speed is limited to the safety norm there.
