Overview

The Litz LH-1000 is a large horizontal machining center with 1,000 x 1,000 mm (39.4 x 39.4 in) pallets and 2,100 mm (82.7 in) of X travel. Y and Z each travel 1,235 mm (48.6 in), and each pallet carries 3,500 kg (7,716 lb).

The X stroke is more than twice the pallet width. That lets the spindle reach well past both sides of the pallet, which helps with wide weldments and with workpieces that overhang, and it gives room for long tools to clear the part during indexing.
