How much does the Ibarmia ZLV5 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Ibarmia ZLV5 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Ibarmia ZLV5 is the largest of the three 3 axis Z-series models, and the only one on the large column. It lists 84 kW (112.6 hp) and 12,000 rpm through a vertical ZV head, with SK-50, BT-50, HSK A-100 or CAPTO 8 holders.
84 kW is the figure that sets it apart. The medium-size ZMV5 uses the same holders and lists 43 kW (57.7 hp) at 8,000 rpm, so stepping up changes both the metal removal available and the speed range. One spindle can then run a large face mill in steel and a small finishing tool in aluminium. Ibarmia prints no torque figure for either model.
The large column also widens the envelope. Y is offered as 800, 1,000 or 1,100 mm (31.5, 39.4 or 43.3 in). Z is 950 mm (37.4 in), or 1,150 mm (45.3 in) as an option. One detail to notice: the tilting-head ZLS5, on the same construction size, lists 1,100 mm (43.3 in) of Z, more than the standard figure here. X is up to 12,000 mm (472.4 in), as on the ZMV4 and ZMV5.
It remains a 3 axis machine with a fixed table. Angled work calls for a horizontal rotary table or one of Ibarmia's custom trunnion fixtures, and two trunnions can be joined into one long one when a part demands it. Power draw, floor loading and chip volume at 84 kW are worth raising early, because the page says nothing about installation.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 84 kW (112.6 hp) spindle, the highest power listed among the 3 axis Z-series models
- 12,000 rpm together with SK-50, BT-50, HSK A-100 or CAPTO 8 holders
- Y available at 800, 1,000 or 1,100 mm (31.5, 39.4 or 43.3 in)
- Z of 950 mm (37.4 in), with 1,150 mm (45.3 in) as an option
- X travel up to 12,000 mm (472.4 in) on a moving-column structure
Limitations
- Standard Z of 950 mm (37.4 in) is shorter than the 1,100 mm (43.3 in) listed for the ZLS5 on the same construction size
- No tilting head; multi-face work depends on rotary tables or trunnion fixtures
- No SK-40 class holder option for shops with an existing stock of smaller tooling
- Torque, feed rates, table load and installation data are not on the product page

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Ibarmia lists 84 kW (112.6 hp) and 12,000 rpm. That is the highest power among the 3 axis models of the Z series: the ZMV4 lists 46 kW (61.7 hp) and the ZMV5 lists 43 kW (57.7 hp). Torque is not published on the page, so request the power and torque curves if low-speed roughing is the main job.
02
950 mm (37.4 in) as listed, with 1,150 mm (45.3 in) as an option. Both figures are larger than the 800 or 900 mm (31.5 or 35.4 in) of the medium-size ZMV5. Remember that long SK-50 class tools and the fixture take their share of that height before the part does.
03
For power, speed and Y travel. The two share their tool-holder options, but the ZLV5 lists 84 kW (112.6 hp) at 12,000 rpm where the ZMV5 lists 43 kW (57.7 hp) at 8,000 rpm. The ZLV5 can also be ordered with 1,100 mm (43.3 in) of Y, which the medium column does not offer.
04
Not with the head alone. The ZV head gives 3 axis movement. Ibarmia offers horizontal rotary tables and custom trunnion fixtures to turn the part instead, including double trunnion fixtures that become one large trunnion system when required. If the head itself needs to tilt, the ZLS5 has the ZS head with a B axis of +/- 120º.
