Overview
The Huron MX 11 M APC is the MX machine Huron lists with a pallet changer in its name. It is a five-axis universal-head milling centre with 1,250 x 1,250 x 1,000 mm (49.2 x 49.2 x 39.4 in) of travel and a rectangular table of 1,000 x 800 mm carrying 2,000 kg (4,409 lb).
Other MX models offer an APC as an option and quote two sets of dimensions. The MX 11 has one set: 5,900 mm wide, 8,500 mm deep and 3,600 mm high. That makes it the lowest and narrowest machine in the universal-head group, despite travels slightly larger than those of the MX 10 M.
Huron's page offers it in milling form only. The spindle is HSK 63-A with 14,000 rpm, 29 kW and 277 Nm, and the C axis turns at 30 rpm, a positioning and contouring speed. The head tilts from -45° to +180° on a 45° plane at 100 rpm.
A rectangular 1,000 x 800 mm table is a pallet format, convenient for tombstones, vises and standard fixtures. With 1,250 mm of X and Y around it, the head has reach beyond every edge of the pallet at any C position. Sixty tools up to 120 mm in diameter and 400 mm long are available. Positioning is 0.007 mm on the linear axes and 10 sec on A and C.
