How much does the HSG TX3 PRO cost?

Price estimate

Uncertain

We do not have a price for the HSG TX3 PRO that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.

HSG TX3 PRO — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the HSG TX3 PRO that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from HSG Laser or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

Installation is the first thing the HSG TX3 PRO does differently. Its bed is an L-type, side-mounted design with a very low centre of gravity, and the follow-up supports are integrated on the outside of it, so HSG says the machine requires no pit digging. For a heavy tube laser taking pieces of 1,600 kg (3,527 lb), that removes foundation work from the project.

Capacity in the table is Φ40-Φ360 mm (1.6-14.2 in) round and 40 × 40 to 360 × 360 mm square. HSG advertises a wider processing range of Φ20–360 mm, with a condition attached: a dual-chuck must be selected and installed at the same time. In the parameter table that twin chuck is an option, as is bevel cutting.

Three full-floating chucks do the clamping, one barrel chuck and 2 through-hole chucks. Because the tube end can pass through the third chuck, long bevels and irregular profiles are held without micro-bridges, and the machine switches between small-tube, heavy-tube, zero-tail and high-efficiency modes to suit the section. Motion is listed at 100 m/min linkage speed, 80 r/min chuck rotation and 1.0 G, ahead of the TX3 at 80 m/min.

One discrepancy needs clearing up with HSG before ordering. The heading of the product page gives a different power range from the parameter table beneath it, so no laser power is stated here. Unloading is catch-type with anti-roll grooves, and the drive is a 45mm wide dual-rail transmission.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Side-mounted bed with integrated external follow-up support that requires no pit digging, per HSG
  • 100 m/min maximum linkage speed, 1.0 G and 80 r/min chuck rotation
  • Single tube weight of 1,600 kg (3,527 lb) with catch-type unloading and anti-roll grooves
  • Three full-floating chucks that switch between small-tube, heavy-tube, zero-tail and high-efficiency modes
  • Tube end passes through the third chuck, so long bevels are clamped without micro-bridges

Limitations

  • The advertised Φ20–360 mm range requires the optional dual-chuck; the table itself starts at Φ40 mm (1.6 in)
  • Bevel cutting is an option
  • HSG's page shows two different power ranges for this model, so the available laser power must be confirmed
  • No tube length or positioning accuracy appears in the parameter table

Best For

Heavy tube up to 360 mm (14.2 in) and 1,600 kg (3,527 lb) Sites where a foundation pit is not wanted Mixed small and large tube, with the dual-chuck option Long bevelled ends and irregular profiles

Frequently Asked Questions

01 Does the HSG TX3 PRO need a foundation pit?

HSG says it does not. The bed is an ultra-low centre-of-gravity L-type side-mounted design, and the integrated external follow-up support is described as requiring no pit digging while making inspection and maintenance easier.

02 What tube range does the TX3 PRO cover?

The parameter table gives Φ40-Φ360 mm (1.6-14.2 in) round and 40 × 40 to 360 × 360 mm square, up to 1,600 kg (3,527 lb) per tube. HSG also quotes Φ20–360 mm, but notes that a dual-chuck must be selected and installed for that, and the twin chuck is optional.

03 How is the TX3 PRO faster than the TX3?

Its table row shows 100 m/min maximum linkage speed and 1.0 G acceleration, against 80 m/min and 0.8 G for the TX3. HSG also quotes a chuck rotation speed of 80 r/min for the PRO and says efficiency is greatly improved over the previous generation.

04 What laser power does the TX3 PRO have?

That is not clear from HSG's page, which prints one power range in its heading and another in the technical parameters. Because the two do not agree, this page leaves laser power out; ask HSG which range applies to the machine being quoted.
