Price estimate
We do not have a price for the HSG TX5R that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Half a metre of pipe is the working range of the HSG TX5R. It cuts round tube from Φ50 to Φ510 mm (2.0-20.1 in) and square tube from 50 × 50 to 500 × 500 mm (19.7 × 19.7 in), on 6,000-20,000 W, with a single tube of up to 2,000 kg (4,409 lb). That places it between the TX3 and the four-chuck TL660 in HSG's heavy range.
For open sections the brochure gives channel steel and I-beam or H-beam at 50-500 mm side length (2.0-19.7 in) with a diagonal under 710 mm (28.0 in). Angle steel is narrower, 50-250 mm (2.0-9.8 in). A steel fabricator can therefore put most rolled beam sizes through it, but large angles are the exception worth checking.
The motion is unhurried: 60 m/min maximum linkage speed, 0.3 G and a chuck speed of 40 r/min. With two tonnes in the chucks that is the realistic pace. The machine bed is of the lateral hanging type, which lowers the centre of gravity and, HSG says, makes loading easier and safer. Independent servo follow-up supports hold the tube while it is cut, and a follow-up supporting plate receives it.
HSG names the control as its HSG-X10000 Bus System. Tube length can reach 12000mm according to the product page. A bevelling head for 0-45° cuts is optional, and so is the safety protection package with its top cover.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Round tube up to Φ510 mm (20.1 in) and square tube up to 500 × 500 mm (19.7 × 19.7 in)
- Channel steel and I-beam or H-beam up to 500 mm side length with a diagonal under 710 mm (28.0 in)
- Single tube weight of 2,000 kg (4,409 lb)
- Lateral hanging bed that lowers the centre of gravity for easier tube loading
- Control system is named in the table: HSG-X10000 Bus System
Limitations
- 60 m/min, 0.3 G and 40 r/min chuck speed make it slow on parts with many small features
- Angle steel is limited to 50-250 mm side length (2.0-9.8 in)
- Smallest round tube is Φ50 mm (2.0 in)
- The bevelling head and the safety protection package with top cover are options

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Round tube from Φ50 to Φ510 mm (2.0-20.1 in) and square tube from 50 × 50 to 500 × 500 mm. Channel steel and I-beam or H-beam go up to 500 mm side length with a diagonal under 710 mm (28.0 in); angle steel is 50-250 mm. Maximum single tube weight is 2,000 kg (4,409 lb).
02
HSG's product page says the length of the tube can reach 12000mm, alongside a single tube weight of up to 2000kg and a round tube diameter range of 50-510mm. The parameter table has no separate row for tube length.
03
The table names the HSG-X10000 Bus System. HSG describes it as highly integrated, covering commonly used operations and auxiliary functions for tube processing. No third-party control is mentioned for this model.
04
Maximum linkage speed is 60 m/min, acceleration 0.3 G and chuck speed 40 r/min. These are low figures compared with small tube lasers and reflect the 2,000 kg (4,409 lb) pieces the machine is built to rotate.
