Overview
Hedelius says the TILTENTA 10 rounds off a TILTENTA series that has been built hundreds of times, and the TILTENTA 10-3600 is its mid-length model: a 5-axis travelling column machining centre with a swivelling SK50 spindle, 3,600 mm (141.7 in) of vertical X travel and an integrated heavy-duty rotary table.
The rotary table defines the class. Its faceplate is Ø 1,000 mm with nine 18 mm T-slots, the interference circle is 1,450 mm, and the workpiece weight is 1,600 kg, or 2,200 kg as an option. It turns at 6.25 min-1 with 4,200 Nm of torque and holds with 12,000 Nm. Those are positioning and heavy contouring figures. The cutting forces of a 300 Nm spindle have to be held by something, and the 12,000 Nm holding torque is what does it.
