Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hedelius FORTE 7-2600 NEO that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
On the Hedelius FORTE 7-2600 NEO the long table can be split. This 3-axis travelling column machining centre has 2,600 mm (102.4 in) of X travel over a fixed 3,080 x 700 mm table, and Hedelius offers a work area partition that divides the work area in two. One half is machined while the other is unloaded and reloaded, which the maker calls oscillating machining.
That is the practical difference to a shorter machine. In single-part production the partition comes out and the whole X travel is used for one long workpiece. In series production the same machine works as two stations, and the spindle rarely waits for the operator. Y travel is 700 mm and Z is 800 mm in either mode.
The table takes 2,000 kg (4,409 lb) on seven 18 mm T-slots. Feeds are 40 m/min on X, Y and Z with up to 25,000 N of feed force. A magazine with 45 pockets rides on the column, so a tool change costs ca. 10.5 s chip to chip on the left half and on the right half alike. With additional magazines Hedelius offers up to 309 tools.
Spindle choice in the data sheet is SK40 / BT40 at 14,000 rpm with 22 kW or 29 kW, the latter with 183 Nm, and HSK A63 at 18,000 rpm with 35 kW. The work area is fully enclosed and a vertical stainless steel cover keeps chips falling into the conveyor. Standard weight is 11,500 kg (25,353 lb); transport height is 2,650 mm.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Work area partition allows oscillating machining: one side cuts while the other is loaded
- 2,600 mm of X travel over a fixed 3,080 x 700 mm table for 2,000 kg
- Tool magazine with 45 pockets travels with the column, so both work areas see the same change time
- 800 mm of Z travel on a machine with 700 mm of Y
- Up to 309 tools with optional magazines
Limitations
- The data sheet gives no pendulum work area dimensions for this series, so the size of each half has to be asked for
- Highest listed spindle output is 35 kW
- Y travel of 700 mm restricts wide workpieces
- Tool weight is limited to 5 kg, with other weights on request

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Hedelius describes it this way: by inserting a work area partition, the long basic work area can be divided in two for loading and unloading during machining. The column moves between the two halves, so the operator changes parts on one side while the other is being cut.
02
X 2,600 mm (102.4 in), Y 700 mm and Z 800 mm. The fixed table has a clamping area of 3,080 x 700 mm, seven 18 mm T-slots at 100 mm spacing and a table load of 2,000 kg (4,409 lb). The spindle distance is 15 to 815 mm.
03
The SK40 / BT40 spindle with 183 Nm and 29 kW at 14,000 rpm has the highest torque in the data sheet; Hedelius rates it at 550 cm3/min milling, a Ø 45 mm drill and an M 27 thread in E335/St60-2. The 35 kW HSK A63 spindle reaches 18,000 rpm with 136 Nm.
04
11,500 kg (25,353 lb) in standard form. The delivery/transport height is 2,650 mm and the width 3,150 / 2,910 mm. The table itself is 3,080 mm long, so allow for that length plus access at both ends when planning the floor space.
