How much does the Hedelius ACURA 65 MARATHON cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hedelius ACURA 65 MARATHON that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Hedelius ACURA 65 MARATHON is built to run with one of the maker's MARATHON pallet magazines from day one. It comes with a zero point clamping system in the table, a side loading opening and an electrical interface for communication with the magazine. The data sheet gives the pallet dimension on the table as 400 x 400 mm and a clamping weight of 500 kg (1,102 lb).
Three MARATHON systems carry a yes in the ACURA 65 data sheet: the SR422, the PL406 and the RZ430. Only the SR518 is marked no. With the clamping system and the interface already in the machine, connecting one of them is a matter of ordering the magazine. Hedelius adds that the machine remains accessible from the front even with automation, and that the view from the loading station into the work area is unobstructed.
The clamping system costs some vertical room. Y is 650 / 379 mm (horizontal / vertical) and the spindle distance is 136 / 120 mm. X is 700 mm and Z is 600 mm, inside an interference circle of Ø 700 mm. The table swivels from +30° to -115° and rotates at 0 – 20 or 0 – 50 min-1.
A pallet magazine is only as useful as the tool supply behind it. The 65-place magazine is standard, a MAGNUM magazine provides a further 25 tools, and a standby magazine a further 264 tools. Five spindles are listed, the strongest an HSK A63 unit with 217 Nm and 50 kW at 15,000 rpm. Loading is from the left side through an opening approx. 900 mm high, and the machine weighs 7,500 kg (16,534 lb).

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The data sheet shows an interface for the MARATHON SR422, the MARATHON PL406 and the MARATHON RZ430, and none for the SR518. The machine has a built-in zero point clamping system, a side loading opening and an electrical interface for communication with these magazines.
02
The table row of the data sheet gives 400 x 400 mm for this variant. The clamping weight is 500 kg (1,102 lb) and the interference circle is Ø 700 mm. Pallet formats also depend on the magazine, so ask Hedelius which formats apply to the system you choose.
03
The machining centre has a 65-place tool magazine as standard. As an option, a MAGNUM magazine provides a further 25 tools and a standby magazine provides a further 264 tools. The data sheet's theoretical capacities are 65 / 90 / 135 / 180 / 245 / 329.
04
Yes. Hedelius states that the ACURA 65 MARATHON remains accessible from the front, even with automation, and that the view from the loading station to the work area is unobstructed. Loading takes place from the left side through an opening approx. 900 mm high.
