Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hartford PBM-135A that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Hartford's PBM-135A is the first of three PBM-135 horizontal boring mills, and the one with the smallest table: 1,400 x 1,600 mm (55.1 x 63.0 in) for 8,000 kg (17,637 lb). What it gains over the PBM-115A is everything around that table.
Travels are listed with options. X is 2,500 mm, with 3,000 mm or 4,000 mm available. Y is 2,000 mm, optionally 2,500 mm, and Z is 1,500 mm, optionally 2,000 mm. The W axis is 700 mm (27.6 in). A buyer therefore specifies the machine around the largest part: the same table can sit under a 4,000 mm X stroke if long weldments have to be machined end to end.
The spindle stock is the heavier one of the PBM range. Hartford quotes a 4-step speed change and a spindle torque of 6494N/m with the 37kw motor, and says the spindle is carried in D4 class bearings. Top speed is 2,500 rpm on a #50 nose. The listed motor is 22 / 26 kW, with 30 / 37 kW as the option (Cont. / 30 min).
Column and base are scaled up as well: 780mm between the column's box guideways, each 100mm thick, and 1140mm between the base guideways. The magazine holds 32, 40 or 60 BT-50 tools.
