You Ji HBM130 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the You Ji HBM130 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from You Ji or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The You Ji HBM130 is a table-type CNC horizontal boring and milling machine with a Ø130 mm (5.1 in) boring spindle and a rotary table that carries 12,000 kg (26,455 lb). The spindle extends on a W-axis of 750 mm (29.5 in), and the table moves 3,000 mm (118.1 in) in X, or 4,000 mm (157.5 in) as an option.

A boring mill is judged by its table as much as its spindle. The standard rotary table, RT18/18, is 1,800 x 1,800 mm (70.9 x 70.9 in), with 1,800 x 2,000 mm (70.9 x 78.7 in) and 1,800 x 2,200 mm (70.9 x 86.6 in) as options. It carries 11 T-slots of 28 size at 160 pitch and turns at 2 rpm. With RT18/18 the table itself swings Ø2,540 mm (100.0 in) and the largest workpiece swing is Ø2,840 mm (111.8 in), so those are the clearances to check when a part hangs over the table edges.

Z-axis travel is 1,600 mm (63.0 in). Together with the W stroke it determines how far the bar reaches through a housing indexed on the table; boring from both sides by rotating the part halves the reach needed.

Spindle speed is 2,500 rpm. You Ji lists five attachments for the series: a manual 90° milling head, a manual universal milling head, a spindle supporting sleeve, a manual 90° extension milling head and a manual extension milling head. All the heads are manual, which means an operator fits them. The Y-axis travel is not shown in this page's table because the maker's catalogue and website print different figures for it.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Ø130 mm (5.1 in) boring spindle with 750 mm (29.5 in) of W-axis travel
  • 12,000 kg (26,455 lb) table load
  • Rotary table from 1,800 x 1,800 mm (70.9 x 70.9 in), with two longer options
  • X-axis travel of 3,000 mm (118.1 in), optionally 4,000 mm (157.5 in)
  • Spindle supporting sleeve and four manual milling heads listed as attachments

Limitations

  • Milling heads are manual; no automatic head change is listed
  • Table rotation speed of 2 rpm makes it a positioning table, not a turning one
  • Published Y-axis travel figures conflict between the maker's catalogue and website
  • No spindle power or torque in the catalogue table

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What does 130 stand for in HBM130?

The boring spindle diameter, Ø130 mm (5.1 in). You Ji's key for the series reads "Boring Spindle Diameter: 110, 130", so the HBM130 is the larger-spindle model.

02 What are the table sizes?

The standard rotary table RT18/18 is 1,800 x 1,800 mm (70.9 x 70.9 in). Options are 1,800 x 2,000 mm (70.9 x 78.7 in) and 1,800 x 2,200 mm (70.9 x 86.6 in). Maximum table load is 12,000 kg (26,455 lb).

03 How large a part can rotate on the table?

With the RT18/18 table the workpiece swing diameter is Ø2,840 mm (111.8 in) and the table swing diameter Ø2,540 mm (100.0 in). The table rotates at 2 rpm.

04 What are the linear travels?

X-axis travel is 3,000 mm (118.1 in), with 4,000 mm (157.5 in) as an option. Z-axis travel is 1,600 mm (63.0 in) and W-axis travel 750 mm (29.5 in). The Y-axis figure is left out here because the maker's two published values disagree.

05 Which milling attachments are offered?

The catalogue lists a manual 90° milling head, a manual universal milling head, a manual 90° extension milling head, a manual extension milling head and a spindle supporting sleeve. Spindle speed without attachments is 2,500 rpm.
