Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hartford HSA-532 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Hartford HSA-532 widens the five-metre HSA double-column machining center without changing its table. Y travel is 3,200 mm (126.0 in) over a 5,000 x 2,500 mm (196.9 x 98.4 in) table, X travel is 5,000 mm (196.9 in), and the table load is 20,000 kg (44,092 lb).
What is the wider gantry for, if the table and its load are the same as on the HSA-528? Clearance between the columns. A part may be wider than the table at some height, a fixture may overhang, or a right-angle head may need room to work on a side face. With 3,200 mm of Y the spindle can travel well beyond each table edge.
The table is carried on three X-axis linear guideways, and the X ballscrew is supported as standard on models above 5 meters according to Hartford. Columns are extra-large, joined to the base over 1,250mm.
All three #50 spindle drives are listed: gear head at 6,000 / 8,000 rpm, DDS at 10,000 / 12,000 rpm and built-in at 12,000 rpm. The base motor is 15 / 18.5 kW and the largest option 30 /37 kW. Z travel is 780 mm, or 1,000 mm or 1,200 mm. The magazine holds 32 tools, or 40 or 60.
