Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Han's Laser HBS1631 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Han's Laser HBS1631 puts 1,600 kN behind a 3,100 mm (122.0 in) bed. In the HBS electro-hydraulic servo range it is the step up from the HBS1131, the 1,100 kN machine of the same length, for shops whose three-metre work has moved into thicker plate.
What is interesting is how the extra force is obtained. The motor is the same 13 kW (17.4 hp) unit as on the HBS1131 and the oil tank the same 200 L. With equal power and more force, the ram has to move more slowly, and the table shows it: working speed 14 mm/s, fast down 190 mm/s, return 180 mm/s. The HBS1131 manages 17 mm/s, 220 mm/s and 200 mm/s.
So the choice between the two is a plain one. If the heaviest regular job needs the force, this is the machine. If it does not, the lighter one cycles faster on everything else.
Frame openings are identical on both: 2,700 mm (106.3 in) between uprights, 410 mm (16.1 in) of throat depth and a closed height of 525 mm (20.7 in). Han's Laser reinforces the frame and ram to limit deformation and fits mechanical crowning. The stainless oil tank is split, a detail the maker links to lower oil consumption.
Overall size is 3,608 × 1,818 × 2,527 mm (142.0 × 71.6 × 99.5 in). The control is the IFT CNC system with touch screen. Tooling style, backgauge and weight are not covered by the table.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 1,600 kN on a 3,100 mm (122.0 in) bed
- Same 13 kW (17.4 hp) motor as the 1,100 kN HBS1131, so no larger electrical supply for the extra force
- 410 mm (16.1 in) throat depth and 2,700 mm (106.3 in) between uprights
- Reinforced frame and ram design to minimize deformation
Limitations
- Working speed drops to 14 mm/s, from 17 mm/s on the HBS1131
- Return speed of 180 mm/s, against 200 mm/s on the HBS1131
- Closed height stays at 525 mm (20.7 in); the HBS2331 offers 575 mm (22.6 in)

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Force: 1,600 kN instead of the 1,100 kN of the HBS1131, on the same 3,100 mm (122.0 in) bending width. The frame openings and the 13 kW (17.4 hp) motor are the same, and the ram speeds are lower at 190 mm/s, 14 mm/s and 180 mm/s.
02
Overall dimensions are 3,608 × 1,818 × 2,527 mm (142.0 × 71.6 × 99.5 in). That is wider front to back than the HBS1131, listed at 3,588 × 1,683 × 2,517 mm (141.3 × 66.3 × 99.1 in).
03
The oil tank capacity is 200 L and the motor power 13 kW (17.4 hp). Han's Laser builds the tank in split stainless steel.
04
Yes: the HBS1641 has 1,600 kN over 4,100 mm (161.4 in) with 3,700 mm (145.7 in) between uprights, and the HBS1641 returns at 170 mm/s with the same 14 mm/s working speed.
