Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Han's Laser HBS1641 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Han's Laser HBS1641 is a 1,600 kN electro-hydraulic servo press brake with a 4,100 mm (161.4 in) bending width. It covers the middle ground of four-metre bending: more force than a light long-bed machine, without the slower ram of the 2,300 kN HBS2341.
Four-metre parts are rarely thick, but they are rarely flimsy either. Truck body sections, machine guards, long electrical cabinets and door frames are bent from sheet that the 1,100 kN HBS1141 can only handle in short lengths. This model bends them full length.
The side frames are 3,700 mm (145.7 in) apart, so a full four-metre sheet overhangs the frame openings and is limited front to back by the 410 mm (16.1 in) throat. Closed height is 525 mm (20.7 in).
Ram speeds are 190 mm/s down, 14 mm/s working and 170 mm/s on the return. The return is the one figure that differs from the three-metre HBS1631, which is listed at 180 mm/s. Hydraulics run from a 13 kW (17.4 hp) motor and a 200 L tank.
A long bed under high force is where crowning earns its keep, and Han's Laser fits mechanical compensation adjustable in both directions. The frame is stress relieved after welding. With the IFT CNC system, programs can be built from an imported 3D model. The machine needs 4,608 × 1,770 × 2,657 mm (181.4 × 69.7 × 104.6 in) of space.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 1,600 kN across a 4,100 mm (161.4 in) bending width
- 3,700 mm (145.7 in) between uprights with a 410 mm (16.1 in) throat
- Runs on a 13 kW (17.4 hp) motor
- Mechanical compensation adjustable in both directions for long bends
Limitations
- Return speed of 170 mm/s, below the 220 mm/s of the lighter HBS1141
- Working speed is 14 mm/s under load, as on the HBS1631
- Closed height is 525 mm (20.7 in); the HBS2341 has 575 mm (22.6 in)

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Press force 1,600 kN, maximum bending width 4,100 mm (161.4 in), distance between uprights 3,700 mm (145.7 in), throat depth 410 mm (16.1 in), closed height 525 mm (20.7 in), motor power 13 kW (17.4 hp) and oil tank capacity 200 L.
02
It approaches at 190 mm/s, bends at a working speed of 14 mm/s and returns at 170 mm/s. For lighter work the HBS1141 is quicker, at 220 mm/s, 17 mm/s and 220 mm/s, with 1,100 kN.
03
The overall dimensions are 4,608 × 1,770 × 2,657 mm (181.4 × 69.7 × 104.6 in). Add clearance at both ends for long parts that overhang the bed, and at the back for the backgauge.
04
That it is validated by finite element analysis, then normalized and vibratory stress relieved. The frame and ram are described as reinforced to minimize deformation, and the bed has mechanical compensation that adjusts in both directions.
