Overview

The Haas VF-6/40 is a big 40-taper vertical machining center: 64 × 32 × 30 in (1,626 × 813 × 762 mm) of travel over a 64 × 28 in (1,626 × 711 mm) table. The table is as long as the X travel, and the machine ships at 22,300 lb (10,116 kg).

Its figures are about room more than speed. Z travel of 30 in (762 mm) puts the spindle nose anywhere from 4 in (102 mm) to 34 in (864 mm) above the table.
