Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler VUX-400 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
In the middle of the VUX series, the Feeler VUX-400 carries a φ350 mm tilting rotary table rated 200/100 (H/V) kg. Travels are 650 mm (25.6 in) in X, 520 mm (20.5 in) in Y and 480 mm (18.9 in) in Z, and the spindle is a 12,000 rpm unit with a 7/24 No.40 taper.
Look closely at the load figures. Horizontal, the table takes 200 kg; tilted to vertical, 100 kg. Halving at vertical is normal for a cantilevered tilting table, since the part's weight then acts as a bending load on the tilt bearing. A 5-sided job runs through both positions, so 100 kg is the working limit for part plus fixture.
The travels are generous for the table. With 650 mm of X against a φ350 mm table, the spindle can move well past the part on either side, room that is needed when the table tilts and the part swings away from centre, and useful for long tools approaching side faces.
Feeler describes the VUX-300, 400 and 500 as machines that complete multi-step milling operations on a single machine. They have direct-drive spindles with oil cooling for stable long-duration cutting, 15,000 rpm as an option, and high-rigidity roller linear guides. This model lists 24 tools; the text speaks of up to 60. Rapid traverse is 36 m/min (1,417 ipm) on X and Y and 30 m/min (1,181 ipm) on Z, matching the 36/36/30 m/min in the series text. The C axis rotates 0~360°. The tilt range printed for this model is ambiguous in the maker's table and is not repeated here.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- φ350 mm table with 200 kg horizontal load capacity
- 650 x 520 x 480 mm travels give clearance around the tilted part
- Direct-drive spindle with oil cooling; 15,000 rpm optional
- 24 tools listed, with up to 60 mentioned for the series
- Roller linear guides for cutting stiffness, per Feeler
Limitations
- Load drops to 100 kg with the table vertical
- Z rapid of 30 m/min is lower than X and Y
- The printed tilt range needs confirming with the maker
- No rotary axis speeds, clamping torque or spindle power are published

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The table is φ350 mm and the load rating is 200/100 (H/V) kg. For work that tilts the table, use 100 kg as the limit for part and fixture together.
02
X is 650 mm (25.6 in), Y is 520 mm (20.5 in) and Z is 480 mm (18.9 in). The C axis rotates 0~360°. Rapids are 36 m/min on X and Y and 30 m/min on Z.
03
Yes, according to Feeler: the VUX-300, 400 and 500 are equipped with 12,000 rpm (optional 15,000 rpm) direct-drive spindles with oil cooling. The taper is 7/24 No.40.
04
The VUX-500 is the next size: a φ410 mm table rated 200/150 (H/V) kg and travels of 750 x 650 x 600 mm, with a Z rapid of 24 m/min. Spindle, taper and the 24-tool magazine are the same as on the VUX-400.
