How much does the Feeler VUX-500 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler VUX-500 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Feeler VUX-500 is the largest VUX model, with a φ410 mm table and the biggest envelope of the series: 750 mm (29.5 in) in X, 650 mm (25.6 in) in Y and 600 mm (23.6 in) in Z. Its spindle is a 12,000 rpm No.40 unit.
Where this model stands out is the vertical load rating. The figure is 200/150 (H/V) kg. The horizontal 200 kg is no more than the VUX-400 offers, but 150 kg with the table vertical is half as much again as that machine's 100 kg. Since tilted positions set the practical limit on any trunnion table, the VUX-500 handles noticeably heavier 5-sided work than its table diameter alone suggests.
Its 600 mm of Z is the other reason to choose it. A tall part standing on a tilted table, plus a long tool reaching into it, uses Z quickly. On the smaller models that often decides whether a job fits. The trade-off in motion is a Z rapid of 24 m/min (945 ipm), the slowest in the series; X and Y remain at 36 m/min (1,417 ipm).
Feeler equips the VUX-300, 400 and 500 with direct-drive spindles that have oil cooling, offers 15,000 rpm as an option, and names high-rigidity roller linear guides. The column for this model lists 24 tools, with up to 60 mentioned in the series text. The C axis is 0~360°. The maker presents the series as suitable for aerospace, automotive and precision mold work. As with the other 7/24 models, the tilt range printed in the table is unclear and has been left out.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 150 kg load rating with the table vertical, against 100 kg on the VUX-400
- 600 mm (23.6 in) of Z travel for tall parts and long tools
- 750 x 650 mm X and Y travel around a φ410 mm table
- 12,000 rpm direct-drive spindle with oil cooling and a 15,000 rpm option
- Roller linear guides, per Feeler
Limitations
- Z rapid is 24 m/min (945 ipm)
- Horizontal load of 200 kg is no higher than the VUX-400
- Table diameter of φ410 mm is modest for the size of the travels
- Tilt range, rotary speeds and spindle power need to be obtained from the maker

Frequently Asked Questions
01
200/150 (H/V) kg on a φ410 mm table: 200 kg with the table horizontal and 150 kg with it vertical. Use the vertical figure for any job that tilts the table.
02
750 mm (29.5 in) in X, 650 mm (25.6 in) in Y and 600 mm (23.6 in) in Z. Rapid traverse is 36 m/min (1,417 ipm) on X and Y and 24 m/min (945 ipm) on Z. The C axis rotates 0~360°.
03
The spec column lists 24. Feeler's text for the VUX-300, 400 and 500 mentions a tool magazine capacity of up to 60 tools, which indicates larger optional magazines.
04
The U-600P is the heavier 5-axis class, with a φ600 mm table rated 350 kg and a magazine of 24-60 tools. The VUX-500 has longer X travel, 750 mm against the 465 mm of the U-600P, and is presented by Feeler as the entry route into 5-axis machining.
