Feeler U-250 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Feeler U-250 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Feeler or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The Feeler U-250 is a compact 5-axis machining center for small parts, with a φ250 mm tilting rotary table and a 7/24 No.30 spindle that runs to 10,000 rpm. Feeler's table marks the spindle DDS. Linear travels are 350 mm (13.8 in) in X, 300 mm (11.8 in) in Y and 250 mm (9.8 in) in Z.

The layout keeps all three linear axes in the column and puts both rotary axes under the part. Feeler describes it as a stacked three-axis column with an A/C-axis table, and says the compact design follows the Abbe principle to minimize load-induced errors. Because the table never travels in X or Y, its mass does not have to be accelerated on every move, and the part stays in one place in front of the operator, which the maker links to shorter loading and unloading time.

The tilt range is listed as +120~-120° and the C axis as 0~360°. A tilt that passes well beyond horizontal in both directions lets the tool reach undercut features and the back face of a part without a second clamping. Table load is 100 kg (220 lb), fixture included.

Axes rapid at 36 m/min (1,417 ipm) and the magazine holds 26 tools. With a 30-taper spindle and this envelope, the U-250 is a machine for medical components, small impellers, dental and watch-scale parts and electrode work, not for heavy stock removal. Feeler names the automotive, aerospace, medical and precision mold industries for the U series. No spindle power or rotary-axis speed is published.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Tilt range of +120~-120° with a full 0~360° C axis
  • All linear axes in a stacked column, so the φ250 mm table only rotates and tilts
  • 36 m/min (1,417 ipm) rapids on X, Y and Z
  • 26-tool magazine on a compact 5-axis machine
  • 10,000 rpm spindle marked DDS in Feeler's table

Limitations

  • Table load is 100 kg (220 lb) including the fixture
  • Travels of 350 x 300 x 250 mm restrict it to small parts
  • No.30 taper limits cutter size and roughing capacity
  • Rotary axis speeds, clamping torque and spindle power are not published

Best For

Small medical and dental components Small impellers and multi-face precision parts Electrodes and small mold inserts Five-sided machining of parts within a φ250 mm table

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What size parts can the Feeler U-250 machine?

The table is φ250 mm and carries 100 kg (220 lb). Linear travels are 350 x 300 x 250 mm (13.8 x 11.8 x 9.8 in). The usable part size also depends on swing clearance when the table tilts, which the page does not give.

02 What are the rotary axis ranges?

Feeler's table lists the A(B) axis rotation angle as +120~-120° and the C axis as 0~360°. The series text describes the U-250 as having an A/C-axis table.

03 What spindle does the U-250 use?

A 7/24 Taper No.30 spindle at 10,000 rpm, marked DDS in the table. The page does not publish power, torque or a higher-speed option for this model.

04 How does the U-250 differ from the U-600P?

Scale and taper. The U-600P has a φ600 mm table rated 350 kg, travels of 465 x 620 x 400 mm and a 7/24 Taper No.40 spindle, with a magazine of 24-60 tools. The U-250 is the small-part machine with a No.30 spindle and 26 tools.
