How much does the Feeler FTC-20(L) cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler FTC-20(L) that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Feeler prints the FTC-20(L) as one column covering two bed lengths. The standard FTC-20 turns 343 mm between chuck and tailstock; the L version, shown in brackets, turns 613 mm. Z travel follows the same pattern at 380 (650) mm.
Both are 8 in chuck lathes, with 10 in listed in brackets as the alternative. Maximum turning diameter is φ350 mm (φ13.8 in), the spindle nose is A2-6 and the top speed 4,500 rpm. Bar capacity is φ51 mm through a φ62 mm bore. This is the common size for general turning: flanges, shafts, sleeves and bar work up to about two inches.
Which length to take is a question of the parts. Chuck work and bar parts rarely use more than the short bed, and a shorter machine saves floor space. Shaft work between centres needs the L. The tailstock has an MT-4 taper on both.
The turret has 8 stations. That is fewer than the 10 on the smaller FTC-10, and it limits how many tools can stay set up when jobs change often: a typical part with roughing, finishing, grooving, threading, a drill and a boring bar already uses six. X travel is given as 175+25 mm, and rapids are 24/24 m/min on X/Z. Feeler describes the series as linear guide lathes with a FANUC controller for everyday production of small and medium-sized parts. No live tooling appears in this table; the maker's FTC-350 family is the place to look for that.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The long-bed version. Feeler's table lists maximum turning length as 343 (613) mm and Z travel as 380 (650) mm, the bracketed figures belonging to the L. All other rows are shared.
02
4,500 rpm, an A2-6 spindle nose and a through-spindle hole of φ62 mm, giving a bar capacity of φ51 mm (φ2.0 in). The chuck is 8 in, with 10 in in brackets.
03
8. The smaller FTC-10 has 10 stations and the larger FTC-30 also has 8. The table gives the count only, without tool shank size or boring bar diameter, so check the tooling system with the maker.
04
Feeler says the FTC series lathes feature the latest FANUC controller, providing easy operation and long-term stable performance. The exact control model is not stated on the series page.
