Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Ermak Power-Bend Falcon 1270-40 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Ermak Power-Bend Falcon 1270-40 is the smallest press brake in the Falcon table: 1,270 mm (50 in) of bending length and 40 Ton (44 US tons) of bending power, in a machine that weighs 3,220 kg.
Everything about it is scaled down from the larger Falcons. The stroke is 170 mm and the daylight 387 mm, so tall gooseneck punches and deep box sides need checking against the opening before an order is placed. Throat depth is 350 mm, not the 410 mm that Ermak calls standard for the series, and the table sits at 850 mm. The Power-Bend Falcon 1270-60, built on an identical bending length, has a 275 mm stroke, 530 mm of daylight and a 410 mm throat.
Between the columns there are 1,050 mm (41.3 in). A blank shorter than that can pass back through the frame as far as the backgauge allows; anything longer works inside the throat. The backgauge is the two-axis unit of the series, with 500 mm of X travel at 500 mm/s, 250 mm of R travel at 350 mm/s and 2 finger blocks.
Ram speeds are 140 mm/s in rapid approach, 10 mm/s while bending and 170 mm/s on the return. A 5.5 kW motor drives the hydraulics from an 80 L tank.
One gap in the table matters. The crowning cell for this size holds a dash, where the longer sizes read Motorized. Deflection on so short a bed is small, but ask Ermak what is fitted.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 3,220 kg and 2,750 mm long: the lightest and shortest machine in the Falcon table
- 170 mm/s ram return, with a 140 mm/s rapid approach
- Y1, Y2, X and R are CNC axes as standard, even at this size
- 5.5 kW motor and an 80 L oil tank keep the hydraulic unit small
Limitations
- 170 mm stroke and 387 mm daylight limit tall tooling and deep boxes
- 350 mm throat, shallower than the 410 mm of most Falcon sizes
- The table shows no crowning system for this size
- X-axis travel stops at 500 mm

Frequently Asked Questions
01
It is 2,750 mm long, 2,010 mm wide and 2,155 mm high, and weighs 3,220 kg. The working table is 850 mm above the floor and 90 mm wide.
02
Ermak's table prints a dash in the crowning column for this size, while longer Falcons are listed as Motorized. Confirm with Ermak whether any crowning is supplied on the 1,270 mm bed.
03
The ram stroke is 170 mm inside 387 mm of daylight. Punch, die and the flanges already bent on the part all have to fit in that opening, so tall tools leave little room for deep parts.
04
Ermak lists four as standard: Y1, Y2, X and R. The X axis of the backgauge travels 500 mm and the R axis 250 mm. Linear rulers on the top beam keep Y1 and Y2 synchronised.
