Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Emco MMV 6200 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Emco MMV 6200 is the longest machine in the MMV series: 6,200 mm (244.1 in) of X travel and a clamping area of 6470x1050 mm. The table is rated for 8,000 kg (17,637 lb).
What does the length buy? Parts that would otherwise be machined in two set-ups with a re-clamp and a re-alignment in the middle can be finished in one. Rail-vehicle profiles, crane and machine beams, and long aluminium extrusions are typical. A long table can also hold several shorter parts in a row, so the operator can load one end while the spindle works at the other, provided the guarding of the machine as delivered allows it.
The head and axes follow the series. Emco lists a 4 or 5 axes version, an integrated round table and a B axis with torque motors. Y travel is 1,000 mm (39.4 in), Z 980 mm (38.6 in), and spindle clearance 0-980 (950) mm (vertical) / 250 (280) - 1230 mm (horizontal). The spindle row gives 50-18000/50-10000 rpm and 125 Nm (S1), 170 Nm (S6-40%). Rapids are 60/50/50 m/min.
The standard magazine has 40 stations, and the row reads 40 (Optionally 60/120). Plan the building around 11,615 x 5,350 x 3,580 mm (457.3 x 210.6 x 140.9 in): at more than eleven and a half metres long, this machine dictates the bay it stands in. The control is a Heidenhain or a Siemens, with EMCONNECT available on the Sinumerik ONE.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Longest MMV: 6,200 mm (244.1 in) of X travel
- 8,000 kg (17,637 lb) table load on a 6470x1050 mm clamping area
- 4 or 5 axes with integrated round table and B axis
- Rapids of 60/50/50 m/min on a bed of this length
- Heidenhain or Siemens control
Limitations
- Overall size of 11,615 x 5,350 x 3,580 mm (457.3 x 210.6 x 140.9 in)
- Y travel is 1,000 mm (39.4 in), narrow against the X length
- The product table prints the machine weight without a unit, so it is not given here
- Magazines beyond 40 stations are optional

Frequently Asked Questions
01
X travel is 6,200 mm (244.1 in) and the clamping area is 6470x1050 mm. Y and Z travel 1,000 mm (39.4 in) and 980 mm (38.6 in). The head works vertically or horizontally, with clearances of 0-980 (950) mm (vertical) / 250 (280) - 1230 mm (horizontal).
02
The maximum table load is 8,000 kg (17,637 lb). That is the highest in the series; the MMV 3200 at the other end is rated for 5,000 kg (11,023 lb).
03
The table lists 40 (Optionally 60/120) stations: 40 as standard, with 60 or 120 optional. Tool diameter is given as 92 (125) mm.
04
The machine dimensions are 11,615 x 5,350 x 3,580 mm (457.3 x 210.6 x 140.9 in) (length x width x height). Space for chip handling, the electrical cabinet doors and loading access comes on top of that.
