How much does the DMS Teton3 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the DMS Teton3 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The DMS Teton3 is a moving-table 3-axis CNC router: the work travels under the bridge instead of the bridge travelling over the work. DMS builds it with a single table or with twin tables, and lists strokes of 4 ft to 12 ft on X and 5 ft to 12 ft on Y with 18 in (457 mm) of Z.
Twin tables are what set it apart from the other single-spindle models. With two tables the machine can pendulum process, cutting on one station while the operator loads the other, so the spindle is not idle during load and unload. Single tables are offered from 4 ft up to 12 ft in each direction; twin tables from 4 ft up to 10 ft by 4 ft up to 12 ft.
The axes are driven by a spinning ball nut and recirculating ball screw, the same transmission type DMS uses on the enclosed Glacier3, and DMS says the machine is built for rigidity on strokes up to 12 ft. Motor encoders are all absolute, scales are available as an option, and the control is a Fagor 8065. Accuracy is stated as 0.0025-0.005 in (0.064-0.127 mm).
Spindles span 4.5-18 kW S1 on the Hiteco MT200, MT201, PT300, PT400 and PT500, to a maximum of 18 kW S1 / 21 kW S6 at 24,000 rpm. Rack, carousel and manual tool changing are listed, and a C-axis is optional. DMS names defense, aerospace, automotive and mold and pattern making as the industries for this model, which fits a ball-screw machine with a mid-height Z.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Single or twin moving tables; twin tables allow pendulum processing, cutting on one station while loading the other
- Spinning ball nut and recirculating ball screw transmission on strokes up to 12 ft
- Spindle range of 4.5-18 kW S1, to a maximum of 18 kW S1 / 21 kW S6 at 24,000 rpm
- Linear scales available as an option, with absolute encoders on all motors
- Rack, carousel or manual tool changing and an optional C-axis
Limitations
- Z stroke is 18 in (457 mm); the Glacier3 has 30 in (762 mm) and the Redwood3 36 in or 48 in
- Strokes stop at 12 ft on both X and Y, so longer parts need the Redwood3
- Twin tables are limited to 10 ft in one direction, against 12 ft for a single table
- The data sheet does not print a usable maximum tool count for this model

Frequently Asked Questions
01
It is a moving-table machine. DMS describes it as a CNC with single or twin moving tables, and the twin table setup enables pendulum processing, cutting on one station while loading the other. Strokes are 4 ft to 12 ft on X, the bridge axis, and 5 ft to 12 ft on Y.
02
A single table can be from 4 ft up to 12 ft in one direction by 4 ft up to 12 ft in the other. Twin tables are listed as 4 ft up to 10 ft by 4 ft up to 12 ft. Z stroke is 18 in (457 mm) in every case.
03
The Hiteco MT200, MT201, PT300, PT400 and PT500 are listed, giving a range of 4.5-18 kW on the S1 rating. The maximum for the model is 18 kW S1 / 21 kW S6, and the top speed is 24,000 rpm. A C-axis is optional.
04
The Teton3 moves the table on a spinning ball nut and recirculating ball screw and offers scales as an option; the Bryce3 is rack and pinion. The Teton3 also goes further than the Bryce3 on spindle power, 18 kW S1 against 13 kW S1, and on X stroke, 12 ft against 6 ft.
