How much does the CHMER G43S cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the CHMER G43S that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
One step up from the entry model, the CHMER G43S wire EDM offers 400 x 300 mm (15.7 x 11.8 in) of X and Y travel with the same 220 mm (8.7 in) Z as the G32S. Against the G32S and its 360 x 250 mm, the gain is in both table axes, and the load rating rises to 350 kg (772 lb) from the 300 kg (661 lb) of the G32S.
Workpiece capacity is listed as 725 x 600 x 215 mm (28.5 x 23.6 x 8.5 in). The taper figure stays at ±14.5°/80 with the wide-angled nozzle, and U and V travel stays at 60 x 60 mm (2.4 x 2.4 in), so this is a machine for straight and moderately tapered die work in thicknesses the 220 mm Z can cover. For steeper tapers on thicker plates the series offers the G64S.
Drives are AC servo motors, with an X Y feed rate of up to 800 mm/min (31.5 ipm). The wire system handles 0.15-0.3 mm wire and feeds at up to 300 mm/sec. Its dielectric tank holds 650 L (172 gal). The standard accessory list differs slightly from the smaller model: the submerged-circuit water chiller is a 2T unit here. Auto wire threading, the 30kgs wire feeder and the swinging panel are options. CHMER's table and its summary box disagree on this model's outside dimensions and weight, so confirm both with CHMER before planning the floor.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 400 x 300 mm (15.7 x 11.8 in) of X and Y travel with a 350 kg (772 lb) workpiece rating
- Accepts blocks up to 725 x 600 x 215 mm (28.5 x 23.6 x 8.5 in)
- 650 L (172 gal) tank, larger than the 590 L (156 gal) of the G32S
- Diamond guides, both ion exchange resin sets and two water chillers are standard accessories
Limitations
- Z travel is 220 mm (8.7 in), no more than the smaller G32S
- Taper stays at ±14.5°/80 and U and V travel at 60 x 60 mm
- Auto Wire Threading (AWT) and the swinging panel are options
- The published outside dimensions and machine weight are inconsistent, so they need confirming

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Travel and load. The G43S has 400 x 300 mm of X and Y travel and carries 350 kg (772 lb); the G32S has 360 x 250 mm and carries 300 kg (661 lb). Z travel (220 mm), U and V travel (60 x 60 mm), the ±14.5°/80 taper rating and the wire system are the same on both.
02
CHMER lists a maximum workpiece size of 725 x 600 x 215 mm (28.5 x 23.6 x 8.5 in) and a maximum weight of 350 kg (772 lb). For submerged cutting CHMER recommends a maximum height of the Z stroke minus 45mm.
03
The axis drive system is listed as AC Servo Motor, with an X Y feed rate of up to 800 mm/min (31.5 ipm). Maximum wire feed rate is 300 mm/sec (11.8 in/sec) and wire tension ranges from 300 to 2,500 gf.
