CHMER CM3076C — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the CHMER CM3076C that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from CHMER or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The CHMER CM3076C is the largest machine in CHMER's CNC die sinker EDM series, with 3,000 mm (118.1 in) of X travel and a workpiece limit of 16,000 kg (35,273 lb). The machine itself weighs 20,000 kg (44,092 lb).

Those two weights set it apart from everything below it. The CM2076C, one size down, carries 6,800 kg (14,991 lb) and weighs 9,400 kg (20,723 lb), so the step is not a stretch of the same frame: it is a different class of structure, with a 3,100 x 1,100 mm (122.0 x 43.3 in) table that is longer than the X travel.

Y travel, 750 mm (29.5 in), ram travel, 600 mm (23.6 in), ram clearance, 800-1,400 mm, and the 500 kg (1,102 lb) electrode limit are the same as on the CM2076C. The listed workpiece is 3,300 x 1,500 x 640 mm (129.9 x 59.1 x 25.2 in). Full-length bumper and instrument-panel moulds, large die-casting dies and similar blocks are what such a table is for.

Dielectric volume is 5,950 L (1,572 gal). The outline is 4,520 x 4,150 x 3,830 mm (178.0 x 163.4 x 150.8 in). On the generator side nothing is special: the same 50N to 150N units as on the mid-size machines, 150 A and 1,050 mm3/min at the top. On a block this size, burn time is long, and many shops will plan the work around several electrodes used in sequence with the optional tool changer.
