CHMER CM434C — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the CHMER CM434C that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from CHMER or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The CHMER CM434C is a CNC die sinker EDM with 400 x 300 mm (15.7 x 11.8 in) of table travel and 350 mm (13.8 in) of ram travel. It is the second size in CHMER's CNC series and the last one before the frames get much heavier: at 1,400 kg (3,080 lb) it is still a machine that goes into an ordinary toolroom bay.

Its table measures 650 x 400 mm and sits in a 1,050 x 630 x 350 mm (41.3 x 24.8 x 13.8 in) work tank. Workpieces up to 750 kg (1,653 lb) are allowed. Against the CM323C that is half as much load again, with a longer ram travel for deeper cavities; the CM323C has a 300 mm ram travel.

As on the smaller model, generators are limited to the 50N and 75N. With the 75N the machine delivers 75 A and a maximum machining speed of 550 mm3/min from a 5 kVA input. Both generators list 0.2% electrode wear and a best surface roughness of 0.25 μm Ra.

Construction follows the series: stress-relieved cast iron, precision ball screws on X, Y and Z, linear motion guides and closed-loop linear scales. The D434 dielectric tank holds 390 L (103 gal). One gap in the published data: CHMER's metric and pound figures for the maximum electrode weight do not agree for this model, so that row is omitted.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How does the CM434C compare with the CM323C?

The CM434C has 400 x 300 x 350 mm travels and carries 750 kg (1,653 lb); the CM323C has 300 x 200 x 300 mm travels and carries 500 kg (1,100 lb). Both are offered with the 50N and 75N generators only. The CM434C weighs 1,400 kg (3,080 lb) against 1,000 kg (2,200 lb) for the CM323C.

02 What is the work tank size of the CM434C?

1,050 x 630 x 350 mm (41.3 x 24.8 x 13.8 in), width by depth by height. The table inside is 650 x 400 mm, and the D434 dielectric tank has a volume of 390 L (103 gal).

03 What machining current does the CM434C provide?

50 A with the 50N generator and 75 A with the 75N. Maximum power input is 4 kVA and 5 kVA, and maximum machining speed is 350 mm3/min and 550 mm3/min.

04 How much floor space does the CM434C need?

The machine measures 1,240 x 1,380 x 2,230 mm (48.8 x 54.3 x 87.8 in) and weighs 1,400 kg (3,080 lb). The generator is a separate cabinet, and the dielectric tank stands beside the machine.
