We do not have a price for the Campro CPL-3010SY that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Campro CPL-3010SY is the most fully equipped lathe in the CPL range: main spindle, sub-spindle, Y axis and a 12-station BMT-65 live turret on a one-piece 30° slant bed. The main spindle has a 10 in chuck and runs to 4,000 rpm with a 15 / 22 kW (30 HP) motor.
Both spindles are listed as built-in, meaning the motor is integral with the spindle. The main spindle is A2-8 with a Ø75 mm (Ø2.9 in) hole through the draw tube. The sub-spindle is A2-5 with a 6 in chuck, a Ø32 mm (Ø1.2 in) hole, 5.5 / 7.5 kW (10 HP) and 5,000 rpm, and it has its own C axis with 0.001° indexing. Campro states that the two spindles support fully synchronized rotation for automatic part transfer, so the front and back of a part are completed in one machine.
The Y axis travels 110 (±55) mm. That lets the live tools cut off-centre: flats with a true square shoulder, offset holes, keyways of exact width. Driven tools run at up to 5,000 rpm, and the BMT interface bolts each holder to the turret face for rigidity. Turret index time is 0.2 sec.
Working range is 400 mm (15.7 in) in turning diameter and 760 mm (29.9 in) in turning length, with 850 mm (33.4 in) of Z travel. A longer bed is an option, giving 1,260 mm (49.6 in) of turning length. Rapids are 20 m/min in X and Z and 10 m/min in Y. The slideways are extra wide box guideways bonded with Turcite-B.
This is a substantial machine at 8,500 kg (18,739 lb) and 40 kVA. It also needs air at 6~8 kg/cm² and a 35~40 kg/cm² hydraulic source.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Main and sub-spindle, both built-in, with synchronized part transfer
- Y axis travel of 110 (±55) mm for off-centre milling
- 15 / 22 kW (30 HP) main spindle at 4,000 rpm; the CPL-3010Y is listed at 3,000 rpm
- 12-station BMT-65 live turret with 5,000 rpm driven tools
- Box guideways bonded with Turcite-B on a one-piece 30° slant bed
Limitations
- Sub-spindle bore is Ø32 mm (Ø1.2 in) with a 6 in chuck, limiting the second-side part size
- Maximum turning diameter of 400 mm (15.7 in), less than the 470 mm (18.5 in) of the CPL-3010Y
- Y rapid is 10 m/min, half the 20 m/min of X and Z
- Needs 40 kVA and weighs 8,500 kg (18,739 lb)
- One turret serves both spindles

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The machine has a sub-spindle and a Y axis. The sub-spindle is A2-5, built-in, with a 6 in chuck, 5.5 / 7.5 kW (10 HP) and 5,000 rpm. The Y axis travels 110 (±55) mm. The CPL-3010Y has the Y axis but a programmable tailstock in place of the sub-spindle.
02
A2-8 built-in spindle with a 10 in hydraulic chuck, a Ø75 mm (Ø2.9 in) hole through the draw tube and a Ø140 mm (Ø5.5 in) bearing diameter. The motor is 15 / 22 kW (30 HP), maximum speed 4,000 rpm, and C-axis indexing 0.001°.
03
Maximum turning diameter 400 mm (15.7 in), maximum turning length 760 mm (29.9 in) and maximum milling length 850 mm (33.4 in). X travel is 260 mm (10.2 in) and Z travel 850 mm (33.4 in). The long-bed option gives 1,260 mm (49.6 in) of turning length.
04
A 12-station turret on the BMT-65 system with a maximum tool speed of 5,000 rpm and a 0.2 sec tool change time. Campro describes the Y axis as able to finish complex machining work that a general lathe cannot.
