Campro CPL-30MC — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Campro CPL-30MC that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Campro or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The Campro CPL-30MC stretches the maker's VDI-40 turning and milling center to 670 mm (26.3 in) of turning length and gives it a 10 in chuck and a Ø75 mm (Ø2.9 in) hole through the draw tube. Maximum turning diameter is 260 mm (10.2 in).

Longer, thicker stock is the reason for this model. The A2-8 spindle passes bar that the CPL-20MC cannot, and the extra bed means shafts can be turned and milled between chuck and tailstock over 632 mm (24.8 in) of milling length. The spindle motor is 15 / 18.5 kW (25 HP) with a 3,000 rpm limit, and a 12 in chuck is optional.

Two comparisons help place it. Against the CPL-20MC, the turret is the same: VDI-40, 12 positions, a 3.7 / 5.5 kW servo motor and 4,000 rpm driven tools. Milling capacity has not grown with the spindle. Against the 2-axis CPL-3510, which has the same chuck and bore, this machine has the smaller main motor; the CPL-3510 is listed at 22 / 26 kW (35 HP). So the CPL-30MC is the choice for finished parts in one setup, and the CPL-3510 for heavy roughing.

The C axis indexes at 0.001°. X travel is 200 + 5 mm and Z travel 675 mm (26.5 in), with 24 m/min rapids on linear guideways. The tailstock quill is Ø80 mm (Ø3.1 in) with an MT-#4 taper.

The floor plan with chip conveyor is 3,875 x 1,785 mm (152 in x 70 in). The machine weighs 5,500 kg (12,125 lb) and needs 30 kVA.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What size of work does the CPL-30MC handle?

Maximum turning diameter is 260 mm (10.2 in), maximum turning length 670 mm (26.3 in) and maximum milling length 632 mm (24.8 in). Swing over the bed is 570 mm (22.4 in). The hole through the draw tube is Ø75 mm (Ø2.9 in).

02 How powerful is the CPL-30MC?

The main spindle motor is 15 / 18.5 kW (25 HP) at up to 3,000 rpm on an A2-8 nose. The turret servo motor for driven tools is 3.7 / 5.5 kW, and maximum tool speed is 4,000 rpm.

03 How does the CPL-30MC differ from the CPL-3512MC?

The CPL-3512MC is the next size: a 12 in chuck on an A2-11 spindle with a Ø117.5 mm (Ø4.6 in) bore, 955 mm (37.5 in) of turning length, a VDI-50 turret and a 5.5 / 7.5 kW turret servo motor. The CPL-30MC has a 10 in chuck, a Ø75 mm (Ø2.9 in) bore and a VDI-40 turret.

04 What guideways and structure does the CPL-30MC have?

Campro states that CPL-10MC to 3512MC use high rigidity, high precision linear guideways, on a one-piece 45° box type structure made from cast iron. It also describes an AC spindle motor drive and a finned headstock for heat dissipation.
