How much does the Campro CPL-3010Y cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Campro CPL-3010Y that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
A Y axis, a live turret and a tailstock: the Campro CPL-3010Y is a single-spindle turning and milling center for shaft-type parts with off-centre features. It has a 10 in chuck and turns up to 470 mm (18.5 in) in diameter and 755 mm (29.7 in) in length.
Where its sibling the CPL-3010SY spends the right-hand end of the bed on a second spindle, this model keeps a tailstock there. Campro describes it as programmable: the Z-axis carriage locks onto the tailstock and drags it to position automatically, which saves the operator a manual adjustment between part lengths. For long work held between chuck and centre, that is the correct configuration, and it leaves more swing for the turret, so the maximum turning diameter is larger than the 400 mm (15.7 in) of the CPL-3010SY.
The Y axis has 110 (±55) mm of travel. With a 12-station BMT-65 turret, in which Campro says every tool can be a rotating tool, and driven tools at up to 5,000 rpm, keyways, flats and offset holes can be machined along a shaft in the same setup as the turning. Maximum milling length is 850 mm (33.4 in), or 1,350 mm (53.1 in) on the long bed.
The main spindle is a belt type A2-8 with a 15 / 18.5 kW (25 HP) motor, a 3,000 rpm limit and a Ø75 mm (Ø2.9 in) hole through the draw tube. Rapids are 20 m/min in X and Z and 10 m/min in Y, on box guideways bonded with Turcite-B.
It is the lighter of the two CPL-Y machines at 6,500 kg (14,330 lb), and needs 30 kVA, air at 6~8 kg/cm² and 4,752 x 2,110 mm (187 in x 83 in) of floor.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Y axis of 110 (±55) mm with a 12-station BMT-65 live turret
- Programmable tailstock positioned by the Z-axis carriage
- 470 mm (18.5 in) maximum turning diameter
- Driven tools up to 5,000 rpm
- Long-bed option with 1,255 mm (49.4 in) of turning length
Limitations
- No sub-spindle, so back-end work needs a second chucking
- Belt type spindle at 3,000 rpm with 15 / 18.5 kW (25 HP); the CPL-3010SY has 15 / 22 kW (30 HP) at 4,000 rpm
- Y rapid of 10 m/min, half the X and Z rapids
- Chuck is 10 in with no larger option in the table

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The CPL-3010Y has a programmable tailstock and a belt type main spindle at 3,000 rpm with 15 / 18.5 kW (25 HP). The CPL-3010SY has a sub-spindle and a built-in main spindle at 4,000 rpm with 15 / 22 kW (30 HP), and weighs 8,500 kg (18,739 lb) against 6,500 kg (14,330 lb) here.
02
Campro describes a programmable tailstock: the Z-axis carriage automatically locks onto it and drags it to the desired position, which the maker says saves manpower. The spec table for this model gives no quill diameter or quill travel, so ask Campro for those figures.
03
X-axis travel is 260 mm (10.2 in), Y-axis travel 110 (±55) mm and Z-axis travel 850 mm (33.4 in), with 1,350 mm (53.1 in) of Z as an option. Rapid travel is 20 / 10 / 20 m/min (787.4 / 393.7 / 787.4 in/min) for X / Y / Z.
04
A 12-station live turret on the BMT-65 system with a 0.2 sec tool change time and a maximum tool speed of 5,000 rpm. Campro states that the BMT tooling system offers strong clamping force to maximize cutting rigidity.
