Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Baykal APHS HYBRID 31120 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Baykal APHS HYBRID 31120 is the smallest press brake in Baykal's hybrid series: 120 Tons of bending force over a 3,100 mm (122 in) bending length. It is also the only model in the series with the smaller power pack, listed as 2x6 kW of rated power and 2x34.5 L of oil, where the APHS HYBRID 31160 already has 2x9.2 kW and 2x55 L.
Hybrid here means two compact servo-driven pump units, one for each cylinder, in place of one large central power pack. Baykal says the pump motor is active only when the machine is working and claims 60 % less energy and oil consumption on average compared with its standard hydraulic press brakes. The small oil volume is visible in the table. The energy claim is the maker's own.
The ram approaches at 200 mm/s, works at 10 mm/s and returns at 200 mm/s. Stroke is 260 mm (10.2 in) inside a daylight opening of 540 mm (21.3 in), with a throat gap of 410 mm (16.1 in). The backgauge figures are the same on every size: an X axis with 750 mm (29.5 in) of range at 350 mm/s and an R axis with 160 mm (6.3 in) at 240 mm/s.
At this tonnage the machine suits thin and medium sheet across the full length, or thicker material over short bends. Baykal lists no table width, bed height or weight in the hybrid data sheet, and no control is named, so those are questions for the quotation. CE-safety conformity is described as an option.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Fast ram for its class: 200 mm/s approach and 200 mm/s return
- Smallest oil charge of the series, listed as 2x34.5 L
- 540 mm (21.3 in) daylight opening with a 260 mm (10.2 in) stroke
- Backgauge X axis travels 750 mm (29.5 in) at 350 mm/s
- Pump motor runs only when the machine is working, per Baykal
Limitations
- 120 Tons is the lowest force of the series
- The data sheet names no control and gives no machine weight or table dimensions
- Only X and R backgauge axes appear in the table
- Machine built with CE-safety conformity is listed as an option

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Baykal lists a bending force of 120 Tons and a bending length of 3,100 mm (122 in). Stroke is 260 mm (10.2 in), daylight opening 540 mm (21.3 in) and throat gap 410 mm (16.1 in).
02
Approach speed is 200 mm/s, working speed 10 mm/s and return speed 200 mm/s. Baykal says its hybrids can easily reach 200 mm/s movement speeds, and this model does so without the H+Package that the largest models need.
03
It uses servo motors with a compact hydraulic system; the table lists rated power as 2x6 kW and oil capacity as 2x34.5 L. Baykal states the pump motor is active only when the machine is working, to reduce electrical consumption and heat.
04
The data sheet gives an X axis range of 750 mm (29.5 in) at 350 mm/s and an R axis range of 160 mm (6.3 in) at 240 mm/s. No Z axis is listed in the table, so ask Baykal which further axes can be ordered.
