Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Baykal APHS HYBRID 41160 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Baykal APHS HYBRID 41160 spreads 160 Tons over a 4,100 mm (161.4 in) bending length, the longest bed in Baykal's hybrid table. It is the lightest of the four long models.
Long and light is a specific kind of press brake. Spread over the full length, 160 Tons is meant for thin material: cladding panels, door skins, lighting channels, long covers and trays. For that work speed counts for more than force, and this model keeps the fast figures of the series, 200 mm/s on approach and return and 10 mm/s when working, with no need for the H+Package.
The same force is available as the APHS HYBRID 31160 on a 3,100 mm (122 in) bed. Everything except the length is close: both have a 260 mm (10.2 in) stroke and a 410 mm (16.1 in) throat gap, both list 2x9.2 kW and 2x55 L. The shorter machine has a little more daylight, 540 mm (21.3 in) against 530 mm (20.9 in) here.
Long thin parts are awkward to hold, and Baykal's description of moveable and adjustable support arms is relevant on this bed. The backgauge X axis has 750 mm (29.5 in) of range and moves at 350 mm/s; the R axis has 160 mm (6.3 in) and moves at 240 mm/s. How many gauge fingers are supplied, and whether they can be positioned by CNC along a bed of this length, is not in the data sheet. Nor is the distance between the side frames, which decides how long a part can pass through the machine.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 4,100 mm (161.4 in) bending length
- Full series speed as standard: 200 mm/s approach and return, 10 mm/s working
- Low oil volume, listed as 2x55 L
- Moveable and adjustable support arms, per Baykal
- R axis speed of 240 mm/s over a 160 mm (6.3 in) range
Limitations
- 160 Tons over this length restricts it to thinner material
- Daylight opening of 530 mm (20.9 in), less than the 540 mm (21.3 in) of the APHS HYBRID 31160
- Distance between side frames is not given in the hybrid data sheet
- No Z axis figures for positioning fingers along the long bed

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The bending length is 4,100 mm (161.4 in). The hybrid data sheet does not state the distance between the side frames, so ask Baykal how long a part can pass between them at full depth.
02
160 Tons of bending force, with 200 mm/s approach, 10 mm/s working and 200 mm/s return speeds. These speeds are standard on this model; the footnote about the H+Package applies to the heavier sizes.
03
They share 160 Tons, a 260 mm (10.2 in) stroke and a 410 mm (16.1 in) throat gap. The APHS HYBRID 31160 is 3,100 mm (122 in) long with 540 mm (21.3 in) of daylight. Pick this model when parts exceed that length.
04
Rated power is listed as 2x9.2 kW, with an oil capacity of 2x55 L. Baykal states that the pump motor is active only when the machine is working, to reduce electrical consumption and heat.
