Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Anderson MAXXIS Series that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Anderson MAXXIS Series is a fixed bridge, moving table 5-axis machine for plastics, aluminum and composite materials. Anderson's page shows two configurations under one name, and this page carries only the rows that are the same for both: a table 800 mm (31.5 in) high, a Z stroke of 800 - 1200 mm (31.5 - 47.2 in), ball screw drives on X, Y and Z, and a choice of FANUC 31i or SIEMENS 840D control.
Ball screws on every linear axis set the MAXXIS apart from Anderson's larger Mass 5, which uses rack drives in X and Y. Screws suit a compact machine with moderate travels, and the fixed bridge keeps the moving mass in the table. Anderson describes a webbed steel substructure that stays rigid during full 5-axis machining, and a precision gearbox in the head.
Z is the generous axis. A stroke of 800 - 1200 mm is listed as standard, with 1200 mm (47.2 in) as the second option, enough for deep-drawn thermoformed parts, moulds and trim fixtures that stand well off the table. The table surface is either an HPL grid for vacuum work or 50mm aluminum with T slots for bolted fixtures, and it can be arranged to stroke in the long or the short direction. A vacuum prep kit is included.
Spindles are 12 HP, 18 HP or 24 HP on HSK 63F at 22000 rpm, or a 25 HP Vector unit on HSK 63E at 18000 rpm. Table size, rotary axis ranges and the number of zones differ between the two configurations and are not repeated here. Anderson lists single and dual zone layouts and workpiece probing as additional options.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Ball screw drives on X, Y and Z
- Z stroke of 800 - 1200 mm (31.5 - 47.2 in) for tall parts and fixtures
- Table offered as HPL grid or 50mm aluminum with T slots
- FANUC 31i or SIEMENS 840D control
- Vacuum prep kit and tool holders are included
Limitations
- Anderson's table shows two configurations under one name, so table size and rotary ranges must be confirmed for the machine quoted
- No weight, footprint or accuracy figures are published
- Barriers and the safety fence are optional
- Rapid rates are printed with a unit that cannot be read reliably

Frequently Asked Questions
01
A 5-axis machining center with a fixed bridge and a moving table. Anderson says the design offers easy machine access in a compact layout and names plastics, aluminum and composite materials as the intended work. All three linear axes are driven by ball screws.
02
The standard Z stroke is listed as 800 - 1200 mm (31.5 - 47.2 in), and a second row lists 1200 mm (47.2 in). The table height is 800 mm (31.5 in). Which stroke applies depends on the configuration ordered.
03
Router spindles of 12 HP, 18 HP and 24 HP on HSK 63F at 22000 rpm, and a 25 HP Vector spindle on HSK 63E at 18000 rpm. The automatic tool changer row reads ATC : 10, 12, 16, 20 and Ranrob : 12, 16, 20, 32. Tool holders are included.
04
The table style is HPL Grid or Alum 50mm with T Slots, and the table can stroke in the long or the short direction. A vacuum prep kit is included and vacuum pumps of 10, 25, 40 or 50 HP are listed as options. Anderson also lists single and dual zone capabilities.
