Overview
Pure turning with two tools in the cut: the Accuway UZ-2000T2W is the two-turret shaft lathe of the UZ-2000 series without rotary tools. Its table is the UZ-2000T2MW's with the driven-tool rows empty and the rapids raised.
Those rapids are 24 m/min (945 in/min) in X1/X2 and 40 m/min (1,575 in/min) in Z1/Z2. For a part that only needs turning, grooving and threading, this is the faster of the two machines between cuts, and there is no live-tool drive to pay for or maintain.
The work zone holds a shaft up to 790 mm (31.1 in) long and 320 mm (12.6 in) in diameter between the chuck and a tailstock with 770 mm (30.3 in) of body travel. Each turret has 16 stations, 16+16 in total, on BMT-40 tooling with 20 mm (0.8 in) square and 32 mm (1.3 in) round shanks.
