Overview
Instead of a turret, the Accuway UV-75ATC carries its tools in a 12-position magazine and loads them into a ram with a BT50 taper. That is the ATC type of vertical turning center: one tool in the cut at a time, held in a large, stiff interface, and exchanged automatically.
The benefit shows in the tool limits. Each tool may be 400 mm (15.7 in) long and weigh 50 kg (110 lb), and the magazine carries up to 420 kg (926 lb) in total. Boring bars of that length reach deep into a housing, which a round shank clamped in a turret station cannot do as well. The magazine indexing type is listed as Servo-gear.
