Overview
The Accuway UT-2000T2M has two spindles and two live turrets on a box-way bed. Each turret has 12 stations with BMT-40 tooling and drives rotary tools at 6,000 rpm, so both sides of a part can be turned, drilled and milled in parallel.
It differs from Accuway's UA and UZ twin-turret machines in its ways. The UZ-2000T2M, for one, lists Linear + Box guideways and Z1/Z2 rapids of 40 m/min (1,575 in/min); this model lists box ways only, with 20 m/min (787 in/min) in X and Z. It gives up speed for stiffness and damping in the cut. It weighs 7,000 kg (15,432 lb).
The spindles are unequal. Spindle 1 has an A2-6 nose, an 8 in chuck, a 52 mm (2.0 in) bar capacity, 4,500 rpm and 11/15 kW (14.8/20.1 hp). Spindle 2 has an A2-5 nose, a 6 in chuck, 44 mm (1.7 in), 6,000 rpm and 5.5/7.5 kW (7.4/10.1 hp). Turning diameter is 220 mm (8.7 in) at both; turning length is 240 mm (9.4 in) at SP1 and 350 mm (13.8 in) at SP2.
Axis strokes are 220 mm (8.7 in) for X1/X2 and 350 mm (13.8 in) for Z1/Z2, and the second spindle travels 850 mm (33.5 in) on the B axis. Rotary tool power is 3.7/5.5 kW (5.0/7.4 hp).
