Overview
The Accuway UM-350 is a trunnion-style 5-axis vertical machining center: a Ø350 mm (Ø13.8 in) rotary table on an A axis that tilts -120/+30 degrees, under a BT40 direct-drive spindle. Linear travels are 700 mm (27.6 in), 550 mm (21.7 in) and 550 mm (21.7 in).
Its base figures are those of the UM-85H, the maker's 3-axis high-speed frame. The dimensions match at 2.7 x 2.2 m of floor, the rapids are the same 42 m/min (1,654 in/min) in X and Y, and guideway bearings are Roller in both tables. What the UM-350 gives up to the tilting unit is X travel, 700 mm against the 850 mm (33.5 in) of the UM-85H, and its Z rapid is 30 m/min (1,181 in/min).
