Overview

The Accuway UM-130W is a BT50 vertical machining center with 1,300 mm (51.2 in) of X travel and a table longer than that stroke, 1,500 x 650 mm (59.1 x 25.6 in). It is rated for 1,500 kg (3,307 lb) on the table and weighs 9,000 kg (19,841 lb), against 8,000 kg (17,637 lb) for the UM-120W.

More mass and more load come with stronger axis drives. The X/Y/Z feed motor row reads 4/4/7 kW here, where the UM-110W and UM-120W list 3/3/7 kW. Roller guideways and 45/45/45 mm (1.8/1.8/1.8 in) ball screws carry the axes at 30 m/min (1,181 in/min).

Y is 650 mm (25.6 in) and Z is 550 mm (21.7 in), with the spindle nose 155~705 mm (6.1~27.8 in) from the table. The spindle itself does not change through this part of the range: BT50, 6,000 rpm, belt drive, 15/18.5 kW (20.1/24.8 hp), 90 mm (3.5 in) bearing.

Because the table is longer than the X travel, a part that fills it needs a second setup to be machined end to end; the extra length is clamping room. With tools up to 15 kg (33 lb) and 210 mm (8.3 in) across when neighbouring pockets are left free, the machine is aimed at steel plate, die sets and machine components that need large cutters more than high speed. The FANUC 0i-M with AICC II is standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What are the travels and table of the Accuway UM-130W?

X travel is 1,300 mm (51.2 in), Y is 650 mm (25.6 in) and Z is 550 mm (21.7 in). The table measures 1,500 x 650 mm (59.1 x 25.6 in) with 5 T-slots, 18 mm wide at a 100 mm pitch, and carries 1,500 kg (3,307 lb).

02 How is the UM-130W different from the UM-130?

Same envelope, different spindle. The UM-130 is BT40 at 10,000 rpm with 7 kg (15 lb) tools and weighs 8,000 kg (17,637 lb). The UM-130W is BT50 at 6,000 rpm with 15 kg (33 lb) tools and weighs 9,000 kg (19,841 lb). Both list a 15/18.5 kW motor and roller guideways.

03 Is a geared head available on the UM-130W?

As an option. The drive system row reads Belt, and the optional accessories include a 2-step gear box. Accuway lists the 2-step gearbox as the standard drive only from the UM-160 upward.

04 What coolant equipment does the UM-130W have?

A 4-bar coolant system, cutter air blast and spray gun are standard accessories. A 20 bar coolant through spindle system, an oil-coolant skimmer and an oil mist collector are options. The coolant pump motor row reads 0.53+0.85/0.75+1.27 kW under 50Hz/60Hz.
