Accurl SMART Giant X 6001.30L

The Accurl SMART Giant X 6001.30L is the shortest standard model of Accurl's large-format laser line, with a work area of 6,100 mm (240.2 in) by 3,100 mm (122 in). Every model in the line is 3,100 mm wide; what makes this one the entry point is its length and the 10,930 mm (430.3 in) of floor it needs.

The SMART Giant X is built for plate, and its figures say so. The table carries 750 kg/m², well above the enclosed X-Series lines. The gantry is a steel crossbeam with an intelligent lubrication system, not an aluminium casting, and traverse speed is up to 49,500 mm/min. Positioning accuracy and repeatability are both ± 0.05 mm according to VDI/DGQ 3441. These are the numbers of a machine meant to push a heavy beam steadily over thick material.

Accurl lists laser sources of up to 60 kW for the series, and the thickness table begins where smaller machines end: 30 mm (1.18 in) of mild steel at 12 kW, 40 mm (1.57 in) at 20 kW and 50 mm (1.97 in) at 30 kW. Stainless and aluminium stop at 40 mm (1.57 in). Thicker cuts at higher outputs are quoted on request.

A buyer who is unsure about length can start here. Accurl states that the working area of the standard models can be extended by 3,000 mm or 6,000 mm segments up to a maximum of 42,900 mm. Width with peripherals is about 5,475 mm (215.6 in) and height 2,900 mm (114.2 in). An automatic shuttle table is listed as standard.
