Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Accurl eB-1340 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Accurl eB-1340 is a short electric press brake with an unusually deep throat. Capacity is 40 ton, bending length 1,300 mm (51.2 in), and the throat depth is 400 mm (15.7 in).
Why does a 1,300 mm machine need that much throat? Because short machines are often asked to bend the edge of a part that is wider than the bed. With 400 mm (15.7 in) behind the bend line, a large panel can overhang the side frame and still take a deep flange. The eB-1235 has a throat of 260 mm (10.2 in) and cannot do the same job.
It is also quick. Approach speed is 190 mm/s, return speed 180 mm/s, and the bending speed can be set anywhere in 0.2-50 mm/s. Daylight is 420 mm (16.5 in) and stroke 140 mm (5.5 in).
Accurl builds the same tonnage on a longer bed as the eB-2040. Choose between them on part length alone: every other row of the table except the speeds is identical.
The servo-electric drive is described by Accurl as two low-noise ball screws guided by two servo motors and helical gearboxes, and the company puts the energy use at 50% less than hydraulic press brakes.

Frequently Asked Questions

400 mm (15.7 in). The eB-1235 is listed with 260 mm (10.2 in), and the eB-2040 and eB-2585 match this model at 400 mm (15.7 in).
02
40 ton over a bending length of 1,300 mm (51.2 in). The eB-2040 has the same 40 ton over 2,000 mm (78.7 in), so the shorter machine can put more force into each metre of bend.
03
Approach 190 mm/s, return 180 mm/s, bending 0.2-50 mm/s. Accurl credits the servo-electric drive with high acceleration and deceleration and reduced dwell time.
