Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Accurl eB-2040 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Two metres of bed with a light, fast electric drive: the Accurl eB-2040 offers 40 ton across a bending length of 2,000 mm (78.7 in). It is the first size in the eB table that takes a two-metre sheet.
Forty tons over that length is a thin-sheet rating. The machine is aimed at long light parts such as panels, trays, covers and trim, where bending force is rarely the limit and handling time is. If thicker material is on the list, Accurl offers the eB-2060 with 60 ton on the same 2,000 mm (78.7 in) length.
The lighter model keeps some advantages over its stronger sibling. Approach is 180 mm/s and return 175 mm/s; the eB-2060 is listed at 160 mm/s for both. Throat depth is 400 mm (15.7 in) against 355 mm (14 in) on the eB-2060. Daylight is 420 mm (16.5 in) on both, and stroke here is 140 mm (5.5 in).
Bending speed is programmable from end to end of 0.2-50 mm/s. On long thin panels a slow bend keeps the sheet from whipping upward, and the range allows for that.
A long bed makes the backgauge and crowning more important. Accurl's standard list for the series includes a four-axis BGA-4 backgauge and the ACCURL Pro CNC wave crowning system.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 2,000 mm (78.7 in) bending length
- Faster than the eB-2060: 180 mm/s approach and 175 mm/s return
- 400 mm (15.7 in) throat depth
- CNC wave crowning is on Accurl's standard equipment list for the series
Limitations
- 40 ton spread over 2,000 mm (78.7 in) limits thickness
- 140 mm (5.5 in) stroke limits box depth
- Daylight of 420 mm (16.5 in) does not increase with length

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Both bend 2,000 mm (78.7 in). The eB-2060 has 60 ton, a 150 mm (5.9 in) stroke and a 355 mm (14 in) throat at 160 mm/s. This model has 40 ton, a 140 mm (5.5 in) stroke and a 400 mm (15.7 in) throat, and is faster.
02
175 mm/s, with an approach speed of 180 mm/s. It is the only row in the table with a 175 mm/s figure; the shorter eB-1340 of equal tonnage returns at 180 mm/s.
03
Daylight is 420 mm (16.5 in) and stroke 140 mm (5.5 in). Check tall punches and box depths against those two values before settling on the machine.
04
According to Accurl, two high-quality low-noise ball screws guided by two servo motors and helical gearboxes. There is no hydraulic oil, valve or cylinder in the drive.
