Modig
Modig Machine Tool is a family-owned Swedish builder of high-speed horizontal, vertical, inverted and 5-axis machining centers, founded in 1947 by the four Modig brothers in Virserum and now headquartered in Kalmar, with a US base in Wichita, Kansas. Its machines target aerospace aluminium, titanium and composite parts, extrusions and automotive components, through lines such as the HHV bar and extrusion machines, RigiMill gantries, MHM horizontals and IM inverted machining centers. Modig says it introduced the first high-speed machining center in 1987 and has sold more than 11,000 machines.
