You Ji VMC1100 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the You Ji VMC1100 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from You Ji or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training

Overview

A 1,260 x 550 mm (49.6 x 21.7 in) table and 1,100 mm (43.3 in) of X travel make the You Ji VMC1100 the long-table member of the 40-taper VMC series. It keeps the 600 mm (23.6 in) Y and Z travels, the BT-40 spindle and the 8,000 rpm speed of the VMC850, whose X travel is 850 mm (33.5 in).

Who needs that? Shops running three vises in a row, long bars and rails, or a rotary fixture with a tailstock that eats table length. The table is still 550 mm (21.7 in) deep against 600 mm (23.6 in) of Y stroke, so the spindle reaches past both table edges.

All three axes slide on box guide ways. You Ji states that the structure is a high-grade casting and that the spindle head is built to support the spindle stably; the practical effect of box ways is a machine suited to roughing rather than to high-acceleration contouring. The ballscrews are C3 level and pre-tensioned.

The standard tool changer is an umbrella type. An arm-type ATC is an option on the VMC1100, worth having when cycle times include many tool changes. A dual speed gearbox is a second option. Floor space is 2,450 x 4,180 mm (96.5 x 164.6 in), and there is a step up after this size: the VMC1350 moves to BT-50 and 4,500 rpm.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 1,100 mm (43.3 in) X travel over a 1,260 x 550 mm (49.6 x 21.7 in) table
  • Box guide ways on X, Y and Z
  • 8,000 rpm BT-40 spindle, with a dual speed gearbox as an option
  • Arm-type ATC option for shorter tool changes than the umbrella type
  • Same 2,450 mm width as the VMC850, so it fits the same aisle

Limitations

  • Y travel stays at 600 mm (23.6 in); the wider VMC1350 has 700 mm (27.6 in)
  • No table load figure is published for this model
  • BT-40 only; BT-50 starts with the VMC1350
  • Umbrella changer as standard, arm type only as an option

Best For

Multi-vise production setups along a 1,260 mm (49.6 in) table Long, narrow parts such as rails, bars and manifolds General steel machining where a 40-taper spindle is sufficient

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What size is the VMC1100 table?

1,260 x 550 mm (49.6 x 21.7 in). X-axis travel is 1,100 mm (43.3 in), so the table overhangs the stroke by a small amount at each end, and Y-axis travel is 600 mm (23.6 in).

02 What spindle does the VMC1100 use?

A BT-40 spindle listed at 8,000 rpm. You Ji offers a dual speed gearbox as an option for heavy cutting. Spindle motor power is not printed in the catalogue table for this series.

03 Is the VMC1100 a box-way or linear-way machine?

Box way. You Ji's key gives the VMC series box guide ways on X, Y and Z. The VTM1100 has linear guide ways on X and Y with a box way on Z, and the VLM1100 has linear guide ways on all axes, with identical travels in the table.

04 When should I choose the VMC1350 instead?

When the tooling is the issue. The VMC1350 has a BT-50 spindle at 4,500 rpm, 1,350 mm (53.1 in) of X, 700 mm (27.6 in) of Y and Z, and a Y-axis carried on 4 rails. The VMC1100 is the largest BT-40 size of the series.
