You Ji TMV600 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the You Ji TMV600 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from You Ji or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The You Ji TMV600 is a travelling column tapping center. The column carries the BT-40 spindle through all the axis moves while the 700 x 450 mm (27.6 x 17.7 in) table stays put, which is the layout You Ji uses to hang different work-holding units on one base machine.

Four table arrangements are in the model key. T is a fixed table. A adds an A-axis rotary table, A+B adds A-axis and B-axis rotary tables, and S is a swing table, which lets an operator load one side while the spindle works on the other. Because the work does not move in the linear axes, a rotary unit or a heavy fixture does not have to be accelerated on every positioning move.

Y-axis travel is 410 mm (16.1 in) and Z-axis travel 460 mm (18.1 in). The spindle is listed at 8,000 rpm, and the nose sits 220-680 mm (8.7-26.8 in) above the table. The 220 mm (8.7 in) minimum is deliberate: it leaves height for a trunnion or swing table under the tool.

The X-axis travel is not shown in the spec table on this page. The catalogue and You Ji's website print different figures for it, so confirm the stroke with the maker. Also missing from the published table are rapid rates, tapping speed and tool capacity. The machine takes 2,290 x 3,170 mm (90.2 x 124.8 in) of floor and is 2,835 mm (111.6 in) high.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Travelling column design keeps the workpiece and fixture stationary
  • Four table builds: fixed (T), A-axis rotary (A), A-axis plus B-axis rotary (A+B) and swing table (S)
  • BT-40 spindle at 8,000 rpm on a tapping-center footprint
  • 220-680 mm (8.7-26.8 in) spindle nose to table distance leaves room for rotary fixtures
  • Compact floor space of 2,290 x 3,170 mm (90.2 x 124.8 in)

Limitations

  • Y-axis travel of 410 mm (16.1 in) limits part depth
  • The maker's two published X travel figures disagree, so the stroke needs confirming
  • No rapid traverse, tool change time or tool capacity in the table
  • With 220 mm (8.7 in) minimum nose height, short tools cannot reach a low part on the fixed table without a riser
06

Best For

Drilling and tapping of small castings and die-cast parts Multi-face work on the A or A+B rotary table builds Load-while-cutting production on the swing table (S) build

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is a travelling column tapping center?

On the TMV600 the column moves in the linear axes and the table is fixed. You Ji describes the machine as a CNC travelling column tapping center and offers it with a fixed table, rotary tables or a swing table on the same base.

02 Which table options does the TMV600 have?

The model key lists T (fixed table), A (A-axis rotary table), A+B (A-axis and B-axis rotary tables) and S (swing table). The table size in the catalogue is 700 x 450 mm (27.6 x 17.7 in).

03 What are the spindle figures?

Spindle taper is BT-40 and spindle speed 8,000 rpm. Z-axis travel is 460 mm (18.1 in), with 220-680 mm (8.7-26.8 in) between the spindle nose and the table.

04 How big is the machine?

Floor space is 2,290 x 3,170 mm (90.2 x 124.8 in) and machine height 2,835 mm (111.6 in). Y-axis travel is 410 mm (16.1 in). The X-axis stroke is left out of this page's table because the maker's catalogue and website differ on it.
