You Ji AH06 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the You Ji AH06 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from You Ji or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The You Ji AH06 is the fastest of three heavy-duty horizontal turning lathes that share one bed, one Ø950 mm (37.4 in) swing and one 37/45 kW (49.6/60.3 hp) spindle motor. What sets it apart is the spindle: an A2-15 nose with Ø153 mm (6.0 in) of bar capacity, a Ø690 mm (27.2 in) hydraulic chuck in the table, and a top gear that reaches 1,200 rpm.

A 3-step gearbox splits the speed range into 1-230, 230-620 and 620-1,200 rpm. The low step is for roughing big forgings at full torque. The high step is why the AH06 suits shaft work better than its siblings: the AH09 stops at 600 rpm and the AH12 at 400 rpm, which is slow for finishing a journal of modest diameter.

Three bed lengths are listed, for 1,000, 2,100 or 3,200 mm (39.4, 82.7 or 126.0 in) of turning length. Machine length grows with them, from 5,925 mm (233.3 in) to 7,025 mm (276.6 in) and 8,125 mm (319.9 in), while width stays at 2,395 mm (94.3 in).

Each length also comes as an M model. Those carry a 12-station BMT75 turret, and the turning diameter drops from Ø900 mm (35.4 in) to Ø800 mm (31.5 in) because the driven-tool turret takes up radial room. The catalogue table gives no milling spindle speed or power for the M models, so ask for those before planning live-tool cycles.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Top gear of 620-1,200 rpm, the highest speed in the AH range
  • The only AH size whose table lists a chuck: Ø690 mm (27.2 in), hydraulic
  • 37/45 kW (49.6/60.3 hp) through a 3-step gearbox for heavy roughing in the 1-230 rpm step
  • Three turning lengths up to 3,200 mm (126.0 in), each also as an M model with a BMT75 turret

Limitations

  • Bar capacity of Ø153 mm (6.0 in) is the smallest of the range; pipe work needs the AH09 or AH12
  • M models give up turning diameter, Ø800 mm (31.5 in) instead of Ø900 mm (35.4 in)
  • Gear steps have to be changed to cross 230 rpm and 620 rpm, which interrupts constant-surface-speed facing
  • The table lists no tailstock, steady rest or live-tool figures
06

Best For

Heavy shafts and rolls up to Ø900 mm (35.4 in) and 3,200 mm (126.0 in) long Forged blanks that need a low gear for roughing and 1,200 rpm for finishing Shafts with keyways or cross holes on the M models

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What does the 06 in AH06 stand for?

It is the spindle bore class. You Ji builds the AH series in three spindle bore classes, and the AH06 is the smallest of them. Its table lists Ø153 mm (6.0 in) of bar capacity behind an A2-15 spindle nose.

02 How long a part can the AH06 turn?

The maximum turning length is 1,000, 2,100 or 3,200 mm (39.4, 82.7 or 126.0 in) depending on the bed. The matching machine lengths are 5,925, 7,025 and 8,125 mm (233.3, 276.6 and 319.9 in). Width is 2,395 mm (94.3 in) and height 2,685 mm (105.7 in) for all three.

03 What are the spindle speeds of the AH06?

The 3-step gearbox gives 1-230 rpm, 230-620 rpm and 620-1,200 rpm. The spindle motor is 37/45 kW (49.6/60.3 hp). That top step is double the AH09's 600 rpm and three times the AH12's 400 rpm.

04 What is different on the AH06 M models?

The turret. Standard models have a 12-station turret and turn up to Ø900 mm (35.4 in). M models have a 12-station BMT75 turret and turn up to Ø800 mm (31.5 in). Swing stays at Ø950 mm (37.4 in) on both.
