Overview
The YCM GT-300MA is a live-tool turning center on the GT-300 bed, with a 12-station radial power turret that is servo rotated and hydraulically clamped. It turns up to ø360 mm (ø14.17 in) in diameter and 742 mm (29.21 in) in length, with a spindle speed of 3,500 rpm.
Compared with the two-axis GT-300B it gives up some diameter and bore for versatility. The GT-300B turns ø440 mm (ø17.32 in) through a ø105 mm (ø4.13 in) spindle; this model has a ø88 mm (ø3.46 in) bore and a ø75 mm (ø2.95 in) draw bar hole. In return the turret holds half as many tools again and every operation that needs a rotating cutter can stay on the lathe.
Live tools reach 3,000 rpm with 3.57 kgf-m, the same drive as on the GT-250MA, but here it is paired with an 18.5 kW main motor and a heavier bed. That balance suits parts where turning removes most of the metal and milling adds features: flanges with bolt circles, shafts with keyways, valve bodies with cross ports.
X travel is 275 mm, printed as 180+95, and the swing over the turret is ø650 mm (ø25.59 in). The tailstock has an MT-5 quill with 605 mm (23.82 in) of stroke. Rapid traverse is 20 m/min (787 ipm) in X and 24 m/min (945 ipm) in Z. At 6,950 kg (15,322 lb) the machine weighs the same as the GT-300B.
