Price estimate
We do not have a price for the YCM GT-250MA that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
In the YCM GT-250MA the mid-size GT lathe gets a 12-station radial power turret and trades chuck size for reach. It carries an 8" chuck on an A2-6 nose, spins at 4,500 rpm, and turns parts up to ø270 mm (ø10.63 in) in diameter and 560 mm (22.05 in) in length.
Reach is the reason to pick it over the smaller live-tool model. The GT-200MA stops at 370 mm (14.57 in) of turning length; this machine adds almost 200 mm, enough for motor shafts, spindles and hydraulic rods that need milled or drilled features along their length. The tailstock quill, with 440 mm (17.32 in) of stroke, supports them.
Live tools run at 3,000 rpm with 3.57 kgf-m, more torque and less speed than on the GT-200MA. Expect comfortable drilling and keyway milling in steel, with small end mills limited by the 3,000 rpm. X travel is 230 mm, printed as 135 + 95, which gives the turret generous travel below the centerline.
Several rows carry two figures. Spindle bore is ø62 mm with ø77 mm in brackets, and the draw bar hole ø52 mm with ø66 mm in brackets; the page does not label the bracketed pair, which reads like a larger-bore spindle variant. The motor is listed at 15 kW peak in both ranges. Rapids are 20 m/min (787 ipm) in X and 24 m/min (945 ipm) in Z, and the machine weighs 6,000 kg (13,228 lb).

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Live tool motor speed is 3,000 rpm and live tool motor torque is 3.57 kgf-m. The turret is a radial power turret with hydraulic clamping and 12 stations.
02
Maximum turning diameter is ø270 mm (ø10.63 in) and maximum turning length is 560 mm (22.05 in). Swing over the turret is ø650 mm (ø25.59 in). The chuck is 8" and the spindle runs to 4,500 rpm.
03
The GT-250B is the two-axis machine with a 10" chuck, 3,500 rpm and a 10-station servo turret, and turns ø350 mm (ø13.78 in). The GT-250MA has live tools, an 8" chuck, 4,500 rpm and a longer 560 mm (22.05 in) turning length.
04
The hole through the spindle is listed as ø62 mm with ø77 mm in brackets, and the hole through the draw bar as ø52 mm with ø66 mm in brackets. The page does not say what the bracketed values refer to, so confirm them with YCM.
