Price estimate
We do not have a price for the YCM GT-200B that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The YCM GT-200B is the smallest two-axis turning center in the GT series: an 8" chuck on an A2-6 spindle nose, a maximum turning diameter of ø260 mm (ø10.24 in) and a turning length of 345 mm (13.58 in). The spindle runs to 4,500 rpm and the turret is a 10-station servo unit with hydraulic clamping.
GT machines ride on box ways. YCM lists oversize hardened and ground box ways, ball screws and bearings as the basis of the series' cutting rigidity, and the tailstock sits on ways that are cast in one piece with the base. That is a build for interrupted cuts and tough material, not a lightweight chucker, and at 4,210 kg (9,281 lb) the machine is heavy for its capacity. The slides still rapid at 24 m/min (945 ipm) in X and 30 m/min (1,181 ipm) in Z.
Bar work is limited by the ø52 mm (ø2.05 in) hole through the draw bar; the spindle bore itself is ø62 mm (ø2.44 in). The motor has two windings, and the table gives 3.7/7.5 kW for the low range and 5.5/11 kW for the high range. YCM describes it as a high torque motor meant for roughing at low spindle speed.
The spindle is a quill-type cartridge that can be removed for maintenance. Heat is managed with a symmetrical headstock, exhaust fans, a spindle motor mounted on the left of the base and a separate coolant tank. A bar feeder, a part catcher with conveyor and automatic tool length measurement are options.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Maximum turning diameter is ø260 mm (ø10.24 in) and maximum turning length is 345 mm (13.58 in). Swing over the turret is ø490 mm (ø19.29 in). The chuck is 8" on an A2-6 spindle nose.
02
The hole through the draw bar is ø52 mm (ø2.05 in) and the hole through the spindle is ø62 mm (ø2.44 in). An automatic bar feeder system is listed as an option, as are a part catcher and part conveyor.
03
The main spindle motor row reads (L) 3.7/7.5 and (H) 5.5/11 kW, so the high range peaks at 11 kW. Top speed is 4,500 rpm. YCM describes the motor as a high torque type for roughing tough material at low speed.
04
Yes. The quill has an MT-4 taper and a 260 mm (10.24 in) stroke. The tailstock is supported on hardened and ground box ways that are structurally one piece with the machine base.
